The new Freya hero looks amazing ngl. I mean she’s like if Ashe was cooler somehow. But the concept is easy to understand, ex-ow agent turned bountyhunter.
Aqua from the concepts they showed looks like a waterbender. Like literally bending water. I wonder how they’ll explain that but i think it’s fair to say that the track record most of the asian characters having literal magical abilities gives it away.

I would not mind if they throw out the “no magic!” out of the window, as long as it has nothing to do with wizards and witches and so on. Arnt super heroes most of the time also kind of “magical”? OW was a super hero shooter since the start, so I hope they embrace it a bit more. You can only do so much without creating the same story for multiple characters…
I mean Freya kind of seems like Soj, just in the opposite direction. Not to mention she is also a mobile, burst damage DPS.
Maybe Aqua uses some kind of psionic neural-controlled anti-gravity interface technology.
Aqua will be next Kiriko, i hope that they will release him with A MYTHIC SKIN. I can not wait to play him.
True, but also the point of OW, at least in my opinion, was always sci-fi. Like yeah the characters have insane abilities but the explanation was always tech, mutations and so on. Hanzo, Genji and Kiri are actual magic. Im not saying that they are not cool, all the contrary, but i’m in love with the lore and style of ow.
But since they never acknowledge that anything can happen in the ow world it bugs me a bit. In any case they should acknowledge it then we move on and gives way to more flashy heroes
I’d argue about the omnics and how Zen and the monks are able to ignore gravity or how lucio heals with music but you could argue about those being the tech of the omnics fully unlocked via the iris and lucio’s music accelerating recovery with certain soundwaves or nanomachines
All I can think of is Aqua from Kingdom Hearts.

Maybe in OW4 we’ll get a character from a new country.
