They need to make a similar system to rivals vote ban system, where each vote is %20 of chance and its only two rounds of voting

Overwatch has an objectively better ban system. In Rivals, both teams can ban the same character, leading to only 3 or even 2 people banned instead of 4. At least in Overwatch, the same character can’t get banned twice, wasting a ban.
The only thing that Rival’s system has going for it is that everybody that voted has a chance to have theirs selected, even if it’s a 1/6 chance. In Overwatch’s, you can work strategically to nearly guarantee that one of your votes gets picked (if you communicate with your team).
In my opinion, the only thing that Overwatch could do better is instead of alternating going - Team 1: Ban 1, Team 2: Ban 2 and 3, Team 1: Ban 4 - is to tally all votes simultaneously and use actual ranked choice voting rules to go down the line with who BOTH teams would mostly agree to ban at the same time.
Although, speaking as a person who has researched different voting systems, the modified system that they have is pretty great. And the fact that they added in the 2 hero role limit was (in my opinion) pretty smart, even if it adds a layer of difficulty to the voting algorithm.
Idk, I play both pretty frequently and find myself frustrated in Rivals because of the double ban pretty often, and pretty content with the bans in Overwatch because I see them and think “I may not have voted for these, but I’m not mad about who got chosen and can work with this.”
Yeah sorry I don’t like that, individual agency is better because it puts solo players into consideration.
Basically if im playing and I get a stack on my team, my vote never counts as a solo player
