About half a year ago a majority of the community was consistently upset that Blizzard, instead of simply reverting a change, would just change something else while keeping that the mistake, which would completely mess up the hero’s playstyle.
But that was the past. Now, look at the past 4 patches. There’s more reverts than I’ve ever seen:
- Armor revert
- Orisa Fortify revert
- Zarya right click reverts
- Hanzo arrow speed revert
- McCree fire rate revert
- Mei freeze duration revert
- Reaper lifesteal revert
- Baptiste fire rate revert
- Lúcio Speed revert
While there may be 1 or 2 I don’t agree, what I’m glad to see is you (Blizzard) owning up to your mistakes and simply reverting the change you know you did wrong. Because realistically, nothing is worse than refusing to revert a change, then simply balancing the rest of the hero’s kit around that change and either making it broken or useless (Junkrat, Sym, etc.)

I’m just praying for a tp rever to old 3.0 tp where it wasn’t infinite and them trying to balance her out that way

That wasn’t what killed Sym. It was that stupid bug fix.

Just waiting for the Reverts that matter now.
- Role Queue Revert
- Hero Limit Revert

Role queue revert okay that’s your opinion, but hero limit revert what a joke. Would completely destroy any competitive aspect to the game.

Get ready for a new flavor of GOATS: Oops! All D.Vas
6 Laughing Tom Cruise Meis
those times were actually cancer. When you role up in a game and see 6 meis or 6 symms or 6 torbs you were like aa shiz here we again. Or the infamous 6 hanzos

it was the tp change. throughout sym’s history it has always been at least one of the following issues plaguing her viability:
- lack of mobility to get in and out of her effective range reasonably independently
- lack of sustain in her effective range to let her do her job in light of her delays/lack of burst
sym 1.0 suffered from both, sym2.0 suffered from issue 1 but not 2, sym3.0 before infinite tp suffered from issue 2 but not 1 (but had workarounds for issue 2 e.g. tp in, pre-charge orb before going through for an orb-melee combo burst 150dmg), and now sym3.0 post infinite tp suffers from both like sym1.0 did.
the bug that was fixed was the lowered damage on 1st tick after missing, that was it. the impact of the bug fix is blown way out of proportion because people don’t realise what propped sym up was how double shields being played on both sides was the ideal situation for sym’s primary. subsequent nerfs were just nails in the coffin.
the infinite tp took away sym’s way in and out of the fight because it essentially put in a guaranteed 12s hero down time which no other hero has.

Pub play has always been a joke. Competitive play (the button) isn’t. Owl could enforce it’s own rules the same way every community driven competitive has.
yeah but the vast majority of the player base do not want no hero limits. Nobody wants to face 6 orisas, 6 tracers, 6 meis, 6 sombras, 6 lucio’s, 6 junkrats, 6 symmetras, or 6 torbs. Nobody.

Except D.VA, reverts back to Symmetra 2.0, Mercy 1.0 and even Bastion 1.0 (and I don’t believe it that I have to repeat the obvious here) would be absolutely horrendous for the game’s overall health…

There’s a reason why said heroes were rightfully reworked in the first place…

There was a reason (except for Mercy), but there was no reason to make them worse than before. Sym 3.0 and Bastion 2.0 are the worst heroes in the games’ history and they arent unique and fun like their previous versions.

Now look, I would like to reinstate what I originally said, as Bastion 2.0 is as, if not even more badly - designed that his predecessor and another rework has been nothing but mandatory for him for years at this point if people want to finally see him in a balanced state.
As for Symmetra 3.0 though, maaaaybe it’s the fact that Symmetra 3.0 has been blatantly underpowered stat - wise throughout most of her existence and not her kit’s design (which is much more superior that 2.0’s design by the way) that is to blame??
Those are way too bold claims to make, to which I and tons if other people disagree and are even wrong statistically up to an extend…
Ok, Roadhog was worse at one point but was saved after a few days because the devs saw how awful it was. For all the other stuff you said: We had the same discussion in another thread, just read it here: Give us back 2.0 Symmetra! - #16 by Bisalissy-2981

Now we also need them to revert that Junkrat change that all the Junk mains hated (I’m talking about the latest one, not the grenade size but hey, why not that one too?) and the Soldier 76 damage buff.
