I really like the Avoid Player function, because I hated being matched with the same toxic player over and over. But I always find myself needing 3 to 4 Avoid Players a week.
How many “Avoid Players,” do you think we should have?

I think 4 is a fair amount. No more no less.
I think 5 is ok. Maybe less on Master and up. But on ladder games is alarming how many trolls are.
5 lets me avoid my entire team if the match is a complete %$#&-fest. That’s my reasoning behind 5 slots.
It would be awesome if we had a blacklist for LFG.
If someone is a troll I can just write their name down on a piece of paper and make sure they never get into my group again.
Give us an ingame blacklist.
I’ll feel bad for the other Superbunny when you boot him from your group just because I’m a jerk.
How many players are currently playing OW on a consistent basis? That many.
I guess it would have to battletag based.
So there can be more than one Superbunny. Was never certain about that, kinda cool.
Infinite for a week or 50 for ever. They are adding hidden profiles to help throwers who join comp to play their 5min playtime hero, why i cant avoid some of them for ever?
I don’t believe there’s any way to view battle tags unless you are friends with someone. Correct me if I’m wrong. This is why writing their name won’t work and an actual system is needed, so I don’t leave groups with any HiddenPants just because one was bad and it’s a common auto-generated name.
I mean there’s only one actual Superbunny, but some other guy took the same name. Mine is as old as Battlenet, so I’m pretty sure I’m the original.
What I’m saying is that the system would be able to distinguish between Superbunny’s. It wouldn’t actually show you the Btag. Instead of hard locking them out like Avoid Player, it could just show you a little toxic green cloud next to their name ![]()
5 would be fine, that lets a person avoid an entire time if they want for some reason. I would be willing to lower the over all avoid time to have more slots also as I don’t need a week of time. I really just need a few hours max and then in most cases you never see that player again or if you do, neither of you remember each other anyways.
also we should not have to dive into the menu system to remove a player. You +1 to the avoid list, just -1 the last player on the list.
Need unlimited avoid players, because screw the entire community. Ya bunch of pricks.
We should have 15.
There is NO ELO where avoiding 15 people will make a real impact in your queue times.
Nah man. People in higher elo’s would very easily abuse it and those that get avoided in the GM/Top500 spots would suffer even longer wait times.
Although I don’t agree with you…
Make the system unavailable or restricted for GM+
Problem solved.
Honestly if you need avoid too many players the “PROBLEM IS YOU” not them
This is not sound logic. Some people have a lower tolerance for toxicity and that’s not a problem. I haven’t avoided anyone in weeks but i can’t stand when someone refuses to communicate for an entire match then as soon as it says “DEFEAT”, their mic works great now! And based on your post here I’m guessing you will assume I’m speaking of when I draw the ire, but it’s very rarely me. In many cases they are right about who to place the blame on, but it accomplishes nothing after the fact. Therefore, it’s toxic and wanting to avoid them all as teammates is entirely reasonable.
I think 2 is fine, especially for mid-plat. Usually if a game is terrible you can pinpoint the ‘problem’ player and avoid as teammate. Play a game or 2, and you won’t be in the same rotation with them anymore, so you can remove them from the list and replace with the next person you want to avoid.
Works well for me, I’ve never run into the same player again having un-synched games. I think only higher ranks is where it wouldn’t work, simply because there are fewer players there, and the odds of having that person on your team again are much higher.
3 - 4 players per week is totally fine, everyone will eventualy meet toxic, trolls, griefers, at some point.
The problem is when you need avoid 30 - 40 players per week the PROBLEM is YOU in reality and not the playerbase
