Im glad Blizz dont have access to Nuclear weaponry

Given how they always go to the nuke option at first chance instead of making sensible changes and tests
Cant balance open queue? Nuke everything and make it role queue
Cant balance tanks in 6v6? Nuke 1 slot and make it 5v5
Cant resolve the core issue of long queues?
Nuke the matchmaker just so everyone has fast queues even if inbalanced
Cant avoid people spamming voice lines? Nuke the ability to use them at all

Thankfully they dont have massive destruction weapons or we would’ve nuclear armaggeddon in an instant

I’m sorry, but I couldn’t stop laughing while reading this.

To be clear you’re absolutely right 100%, but god if it wasn’t funny to read “welp, we broke it, time to nuke it instead of fix it.”

Ik, devs are a bit trigger happy on the red button

And I’m glad that role queue exists every time I play

Ngl me too, until they decided to give up and go to 5v5 instead

Considering how bad the matchmaking currently is, it needs a nuke approach now more than ever.

There is no way fixing this mess with slight tweaks.

But perhaps if they had access to nuclear weapons other governments would pressure them to fix the damned game.

It has always been their approach. Whenever something is too unique which escapes their vision of how the game has to be played they quickly enter in despair and nuke it.

They didnt know how to balance the goats composition. Nuke it with RQ. They didnt know how to balance 2 tanks. Nuke it with 1 tank.

Its like they dont want to waste time designing and brainstorming ideas to solve the issues.

Goats is the most egregious example. You are telling me that a big blob of players sticking together and receiving healing cant be balanced on made a counter off? Why not give healing diminishing returns in AoE healing, give some aoe ult like torb’s a buff so it is dangerous to be clumped together like that.

It reminds of the L4D1 situation, where it was optimal to just so shivastacking each other in a corner and nothing would kill the survivors. Then L4D2 introduced a special zombie that could spit an aoe acid pool which made that strategy dangerous when she was around.

In ow we dont have that, we dont see the devs attempt to brainstorming, to test, to receive feedback from changes that could fix their problem. They just straight out nuke it and thats it.

Plus it doesnt help that some of the blizzard cultists eat up their speech about their design changes. Some people here swear that goats had no mathematical or pratical way to be fixed by anything else than Rolequeue. Just like people do the same for 2 tanks and 5v5. Its easy to have such a fanatical, parroting playerbase.

Knowing them they probably wouldve nuked half world already

Now that i think of it JQ would’ve been a perfect counter to goats, thats if kiriko or Suzu didn’t existed

A little off topic but i remembered something.

In warcraft3 retail vanilla version, there was a huge imbalance between the armors and damage system. Medium armor was way too good. Heroes doing normal damage was way overpowered… there were many issues in the game but they did a good move:

They introduced new types of armor and damage to balance out the game and avoid stacking of units with medium armor, like dryads and casters. Hero damage was introduced, magic attack damage, unnarmored, etc…

And it solved a lot of the game’s issues (like castercraft) but now… look at what a freaking wild concept: things were ADDED to solve a problem within the game and not just nuke it out.

But warcraft3 was the last remnant of old blizzard… but they showed maybe adding things can help solve the issues the game is facing and not rushing to remove it or imposing restrictions.

Although… new blizzard did add launch brig to try to solve the dive composition… so… nah… maybe it is hopeless anyway

I find that a weird stance, everyone is pissed that they didn’t start with the nuke option with Sojourn.

Brig was added to solve a problem, it doesn’t always work the way people expect

Huh i guess that’s the thing, they either leave op heroes go rampage for too long (and then they nuke them) or they nuke them at first chance, there is no in between nor quick balance changes

“Nuke it from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.” - Blizzard design team anytime the encounter what the they think is a problem.

Which explains why Sojourn hasn’t been nuked; they don’t consider her dominating the game a problem.

Or they are afraid to be called racist by the community for nuking a strong woman of color with a railgun .

(Did i mention she has a railgun?)

I was gonna say I like rolequeue, I always wanted rolequeue. But to be honest, I think nuking tanks made goats dominant lol. The weaker an individual tank is, the more impossible it became to win a game with less than 3 of them lol.

That’s called shutting game down, and making a new one.

Exterminatus it is. Emperor protects.

Truuue. We should stop calling them devs as well too . They don’t deserve this title . They don’t develop nothing , they ruin stuff .
