Hi I am one of many player that loved overwatch I managed to reach high GM in-game and I really started to love this game but today I decided to quit this game because of the people who do not know how to enjoy the game other than using hacks. I played a total of 5 games today and I met 6 hackers in total 3 hackers in one game and 1 hacker each on other 3 games I still had hope that the next game would not have any hackers but i ended up meeting a thrower moving a bit whenever they were about to get kicked out of the game. I really enjoyed the time when we talked and chose our picks and played as a team not blaming each other for the lose. Overwatch was a great game but they couldnāt manage the players and thatās why I am leaving if you have read everything that I wrote thank you for reading and i just want to tell you that i really loved this game and Iām so sad that I am leaving the game thank you
We should start a petition to see if we can get classic comp in the experimental mode to see if more people enjoy classic OW over 2-2-2.
edit: okay so to add on to this they should implement some type of anti cheat that involves looking into the PC kind of how like games such as Ring of Elysium did so. Think the only issue is some people could have a problem with privacy.
What does that have to do with the hacker problems?
actually, thatās a good question. it looks like I either blanked and posted this in the wrong forum or just forgot what I was originally going to type. gotta love sleep deprivation am i right
The important question is: Did you bring enough Flunkn Donuts for everyone?
Iāll look in my pantry, probably have some spare ones
Thatās the team spirit!
Because of 222 in comp it takes around 20~40 min to get one game. Are u happy to wait for 20 min and meet a hacker so u lose the game? its already so annoying that we met a hacker and how they lie to us that they are a top 500 and not a hacker. Its not just once this happens every single game. There are people like me who practiced really hard to get better at the game but because of hackers now theres no point doing aim prac and because there are so many hackers the non hackers will start buying hacks to fight them back which I dont understand
I really, really, really would enjoy if you emphasized on this
Because even though it is up to Blizzard to counter these problems, ultimately it is the player base that is the issue, at its source.
eh, they handled things kinda weird. Honestly Iām about ready to head out as well but not due to hackers and such, but just due to literally no communication between what is happening in the gameās development and what to expect in the coming months. They literally said āHey, we are working on a sequel to this game, dunno how long itās gonna take, we have this cinematic and a test model, and we are planning on āgoing darkā until further noticeā.
I understand that but that isnāt something that really bugs me. It bugs me more they are making an āOverwatch 2ā, like how meme-worthy is that? It makes me feel like the same guy who made āElon Musk finds Space 2ā or āScientists discover Shrek 6ā named OW2⦠Thatās a personal gripe though.
To be totally fair I just dislike the playerbase.
True. Heard that they were planning on doing an overhaul a while back, but Activision wanted it to be an entirely different game. They wanted no transfer of skins, progress, etc. Papa Jeff convinced them to have progress transfer, but guess weāre stuck with the ā2ā.
Definitely should not be a sequel, but a DLC or Expansion Pack or something else as it is just Overwatch but with a story mode and better graphics.
100% should be an expansion pack. I think the concept of a stand alone sequel (thatās what it is right?) instead of working with a successful and pre-existing substance is asinine.
It is a sequel. But they keep trying to push the āweāre redefining a sequelā towards OW2, so it is definitely going to feel more like an expansion of OW1 instead of a sequel.
Ye there have been a lot of hackers lately, its insane. And they arent getting banned either. There was even a video āBlizzard Guidesā on these types of hacks, and the OverwatchPD has been exposing a lot of these cheaters and what blizzard is doing.
Its literally not fun to play anymore because of the amount of cheaters.
Not to be that guy** but are you sure theyāre hacking? Or did you get outplayed?
Iād hate to see someone like you throw around the word hacking when theyāve had a rough play session of games
Except for the part where they actually went back on this and started responding to people in the forums again, including Jeff himself. More frequent balance patches, experimental card, character skin events every few weeks, new skins during the big events, responsive reddit interactionā¦
Also what is wrong with Blizzard taking their time to make characters right instead of fast? Every time a new character would come out, ppl would complain that it was rushed and that theyāre OP or unbalanced. Thereās literally no satisfying this fan base, itās unbelievable.
I donāt want it rushed, I just want something to show the community how development is going. They could easily should 5 minutes of gameplay showing off the new UI and new maps. They could even show off another new hero skin update.
Also, as much as I love these balance patches and 1 skin every few weeks, we need something more. We havenāt had a new hero since September. I would be more than okay with Lore Skin events every 2-3 weeks (Like Mercyās and Anaās), but just kinda dropping weird skins like Asheās is odd. All I would love is a community calendar for what to expect during the duration of the month. They could do Triple XP on Wednesdays, certain special Arcade modes on certain weeks (they could even just be interesting Workshop modes), anything to keep the community interested.
A Star Citizen styled Road Map of Development would be ideal.
lol You are literally going to make flex players REEEEEEEEEEEEEE with that.
I would say yes just to hear them squirm.
But I prefer classic over 2-2-2 and I prefer 2-2-2 over 1-3-2.
