The amount of “aim assist” bots I’m seeing on PC is so out of control I can only conclude that cheating is now allowed or that Overwatch can’t afford anti cheat because their game isn’t making enough money. Unless the hack is hard locking and blatant, I’m convinced cheating is completely allowed.

I’ve seen old fashioned spin hacks that didn’t stop the game. Pretty sure that Blizzard isn’t stopping anything at this point since I have yet to receive an “Action has been taken” screen when I log in since OW 2 began.

I dont think they can afford to lose the players frankly.
Ive seen plenty of pretty obvious cheats in use since the game went FTP but even if they got banned they’d just open another free account and start again, so I dont see it getting solved really.

I don’t blame you, after each game I lose I review the replay and inevitably I see people using their bot not just to help them aim but to spot me behind walls.
I can tell they’re toggling a button that is assigned to lock on an enemy target that is near them because it snaps right to my players outline through the wall, even if I’m crouching making no noise, then they look away really quick so as not to stare and make it obvious as they and reposition themselves away from me. Then of course there’s the garbage dps who can’t hit a shot until it gets to an important moment in the match where they toggle and become black adam and hit four clutch headshots.
The only somewhat redeeming factor is when I view my dps I see they’re cheating too, completely unnatural movements, accidentally locking onto a player that was intersecting their original target, spotting people through walls. It’s just a festival of talentless losers who are struggling to win even with cheats.
Unfortunately I just learned to ignore it. I started climbing to higher ranks where I see cracked shots more often and I have made cracked shots that I say wtf myself. I feel the actual game client has somewhat of an aimbot itself I’m ngl either that or my mechanical aim has improved.
The other day I had a game where a mccree was flicking my pinky toes under the payload literal pixel shots and he hit 3 of them in a row or a Hanzo as I blade hitting a literal edge of screen flick in about 2 ms of time lol and I can’t “cope” anymore just by saying some people toggle and just work on myself. But it is frustrating and random especially on maps like havanna where it’s already frustrating dealing with one shots on that map.
Wrether is native in-game aim assist (Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment in real time) or 3rd party aim software something funky is up with this game

i dont blame you either, there are people sitting at the top500 that blatantly cheat and get reported and have been spotted by streamers and they still just chillin out
at this point there is zero integrity in ranked and you just assume everyone cheats unless proven otherwise

Could possibly be for 1 of 2 reasons.
- They don’t send a pat on the back for everything, because shouldn’t need constant hand holding like that
- They weren’t cheating.

Just a bunch of coping losers in one thread. They claim cheaters, they link me a replay and I laugh in their face as they link me someone who is mildly better than them, whom I aim 12x better then. With no cheats needed! At the GM+ level.
We can verify it’s no cheats too because i actually play collegiate. OWCC, NECC, NACE. I use the college computers. Just a glorious model O, but I have my G-Wolves HSK pro 4k coming soon, excited for that.

Perhaps we’re stuck with rigged aim tech, because they think smoothing out fights is going to KEEP players.

We don’t want rigging. Give us a raw experience. The rigged aim would be there to smooth out MM differences, which everyone has now learned how to spoof, fake, alt, sab, troll, etc. And with 5v5 stompfest the aim-assist/resist “cheating” is just another layer to try and damage control their flopped release.
It’s terrible. And if it’s not rigged, it’s clearly bugged or broken. Imagine the shooting part of the shooter not working. Yikes.

it’s crazy the video he posted wasn’t even any crazy plays either… I hope people don’t mind me throwing some replay codes but I really think in a lot of cases (not all) people aren’t trying as hard as they think they are or even wanting to “try” when it comes to competitive possibly.
I think some people log in and just play to play then blame the match maker for their short comings instead of realizing they can play better but choose not to. (I’m nothing special but these are my games from tonight after making a account after not playing in a long time and the games started leveling out quality wise pretty quick I had some pretty fun matches tonight).

#raw experience in most of these replays if you want a raw experience, and people got upset. also I cant que comp yet but getting ready to que comp. not enough games. I haven’t played in forever wanted a fresh start, so I started fresh and the games did adjust rather quickly to be honest to my skill tier I didn’t just “run through” constantly even in quick play.
on another note I had someone frustrated in chat (match chat) that they actually had a decent match making experience and it was hard… lol. not even kidding and people on my team including me were like really? you’re complaining because you finally have a decent experience…
I think we’re stuck with it cause it’s built into the game for console players. Meaning hackers don’t actually have to build aim bots, they can tap into that code. Think about it… the “wall” information is in the client side, if it were server side there would be no wall hacks.
Ow team could experiment about what information is being sent to the client…
Meanwhile video card software for screen capture is wide open and FAST.
Video card drivers need to lock down the buffer for the game so no other apps can receive the screen information.

I’m just pointing out the comedic value of just how absurd some of these people are. They will link the most mediocre players that happened to destroy them, and say they’re cheating and that’s why they lose their games. In reality cheaters in overwatch are fairly rare.
But I’m the kind of player these people would call a cheater in a heartbeat. So it’s hilarious to me.
Maybe you’re one of the few dps in GM that aren’t cheating (not likely), are you willing to post replays as evidence? I’m not asking for a replay right now but if I were would you provide them?
