Not because I’m salty. I just feel like the game is getting too hard for me, and I don’t think I belong here anymore. It also feels like Overwatch is a painful addiction. I end up depressed or frustrated whenever I get off the game, for really any reason.
I don’t hate the game, but I think it might be starting to affect me irl. Should I quit? Am I getting power crept out because I’m no longer good at this game?

I think I’m having the same thing happen to me…
But I don’t have any other games to go to so I guess I’ll stay here

Honestly, as someone who feels the same way, it might be a good idea. Perhaps take a break, don’t all-out quit. A break could be all you need.
In the grand scheme of things, games are supposed to be enjoyable, but when they become a chore, that’s when it’s a good time to consider something else for a while.

I think what you should do is get into the world of custom games, there are a lot of dumb ones out there. It can be quite fun sometimes. Stay away from competitive for a little while, maybe even quick play.

End gaming sessions on a high note, it helped me a lot. Getting 1st place in death match is a perfect time to log off.

If you mostly log off via rage quit, all you’ll remember is how bad you felt.

Have other games to play while you’re taking a break. If this game gets to ya then only play a few matches a day. The game isn’t in a good shape right now especially on the policy side.
Sounds like you need a break. What I do when I’m feeling like this about any game is to just stop playing for a while, and see if it comes back into my interest after a month or two away. If it does, it’s worth giving another try; if it doesn’t, it’s probably not.
Best of luck to you.
If youre feeling burnt out, I suggest playing the other characters you have’t really played that much to get some fresh gameplay cause looking at your playtime you haven’t gotten the feel for them yet. If you don’t want to do that that’s fine, playing with friends and messing around is fun. If you can’t find any friends, like they are offline or have no interest in playing, then make some or just have a good time

You could always take a break for a while, no shame in doing that. Do whatever you’re comfortable with, fam. Overwatch will be here if you decide to come back.

lol true, OW isn’t going anywhere
I’d recommend a break but have you also considered comp? Seems backwards I know but comp has relatively better match making than qp and gives you something to work towards. If you don’t care about your rank I think this will make games feel more consistent.
That way you’d play with people at your elo. In qp I’ll often see mixtures of sr as low as silver and high as gm which makes for crazy weird games. Though I rarely play qp since pre s1.
Also playing flex can breath amazing new life to the game.
Just take a break from it for a while play ac origins or God of war. Some good single player games then before you know it you’ll want to be back
I’d say just quit the game for now, however if you feel the need to play it just do one game then call it quits. Btw me + hitscan = </3 also if you play, try with friends.
Everyone is suggesting I take a break, but taking a break won’t make me better at the game, which is my problem.
Lol then don’t take a break, just train in qp, start with soldier, he will feel the most natural, if you coming from an fps background
When I get burnt, I either try different arcade modes and mix it up with different characters I don’t usually play or whoever would be fun rather than effective. Or just watch movies, read a book, surf the Web, etc., lots of things to do between Overwatch like commenting on these forums lol. On console at least I stopped worrying so much about rank when I realized so many higher level players use kb/m, and just focused on having fun on my own terms.
