I'm Actually Enjoying Role Queue in Quick Play

I’m usually on-and-off with this game but since role queue I’ve been enjoying the game much more and don’t plan on stopping for a long while.

Role queue in quick play is much better since your team can play on a genuine comp with 2 tanks, 2 DPS, and 2 healers. This is much better than your team running 4 DPS, which can certainly be frustrating.

A major complaint is the wait time, my counterpoint to this is that anyone would rather wait for up to 8 minutes to play a worthwhile game rather than skip through almost every game because the comp is almost impossible to play with.

Role queue is great, especially in quick play because it makes the game more enjoyable for everyone.

Same here, QP is actually fun now, everyone plays the objective and toxicity is much less too, apart from the wait times.

Personally, I find Forced Queue to be the very worst change ever made to this game, bar none

the people who complain are the people who shouldnt even play the game since they dont even understand how it works. 222 is trying to give them the hint to leave but they just stick around complaining for some reason.

clarification: I am fully aware of how to play the game, and I hate Forced Queue

  1. there are many valid complaints about Forced Queue. a valid complaint is not equivalent to moaning

theres no valid argument against it. if you dont like it leave. the fact people are complaining and drawing conclusions so early when the mmr has not adjusted or any specific balancing has been done shows how braindead you lot are.

clarifications:

  1. There are many valid arguments against Forced Queue, including but not limited to the excessively long queue times for dps

  2. I wont be leaving

Good thing you can play quickplay classic with 5 other like minded people who will all pick dps for you now that all the flex players are queing for role que.

As for how i feel about role que, It was enough to make me play the game for a while every day. Before role que, i was playing maybe once or twice in a week.

I have played about 3 dozen games of qp classic at this point

in none of these games did I have 5 or 6 dps on the team

I had 4 dps in just 2 of these games

There are plenty of tank and support players who prefer Freedom over Forced, and they are playing qp classic

That’s great to hear then.

Then that means you have absolutely nothing to complain about. You have your freedom of pick. You have your fast que mode. You even have your flex players in that mode.

Let those of us who want to be slaves to 2/2/2, to enjoy role que, while you get to enjoy your unshackled version of the game instead.

clarification: there are many legitimate and severe problems with Forced queue, and as such, many valid reasons to complain about it

Here are the general complaints i see.

1- Long role que times

What did you expect? A lot of people pick dps. Better wait a bit more for quality games than instant garbage games over and over.

2- But maaa CREAITVETEEEEEY.

There was no creativity to begin with. People either didn’t care about the meta whatsoever, or copy pasted professional players.

3- I like freedom of picking.

Then go play classic quickplay. It’s not like there is no such thing in this game at all.

4- If someone does badly, i can’t swap to compensate.

And you think someone playing badly and you, being a healer, swapping to dps to compensate made things better? IT was worse.

5- But if a healer leaves, then i can’t pick a healer to help out the team.

Sure, like 5v6 was winnable in the first place.

6- But meta is now very limited.

Of course it is. You expected role que to show up with no balancing with it, and things would have gotten better? That’s blizard’s lack of commitment. They postponed it for 2 months and still failed to provide a balancing patch with it. It’s something that will eventually get better. Be patient.

What else is that legitimate concern of yours exactly? That’s what i’m seeing mostly on the forums at least.

Having so much fun in quick play that I’m not even play Competitive these days.
