I'm a developer now

Just finished my game in RPG-Maker. It’s one room, with a chest. Once you open the chest, the game crashes. I’m now qualified to tell OW devs the precise problems in their game, with my scientific mind.

Grats. I also dabble in unity and unreal

Congratulations. That’s what got me into coding in the year 2000 with RPG maker 2000.

I, a workshop user, want this too!

Fair point, but that’s beside the point. You’re basically comparing a game, which is based around balance and the usage of them to make buffs and nerfs, to a game that requires a predisposed code. Yeah, we don’t know how to code, but we aren’t asking to code, we’re asking for some good assets in buffs and nerfs to the game, including content. It might not be constructive, might be toxic, but it’s feedback, feedback so they can make it better.

If I knew how to code, heck, I’d revert OW to 2017. I don’t care if it was somewhat negative in 2017. Do I like it and prefer it over the current meta? Yes, for sure and if I had the tools and opportunities to do so, I’d do it.

Yeah but the room has obvious sight line problems. I can’t peak the chest without getting one-shot.

Thank you!

Thank you! Also neat.

Thank you! I know. If only everyone could rise to the occasion.

You are worthy!

TheWorkshopr:
You’ll get there. Study hard and make sure to visit asset flip sites.

Feel that air above your head?

I’m sorry! I’m trying to improve. I plan on aggressively patching soon.

Not really. The games in a pretty good spot in my opinion, just giving feedback. Feedback to improve OW and if I played your game, I could give feedback where it’s flawed, not the code exactly

It’s the product you deliver, not the code. I couldn’t care less.

Hold on.
You just gave me an idea.

I SHALL CALL IT “BOXES!”

I can…open a cup of apple sauce…most of the time. Am I qualified to coach an OWL team now?

Um, I want to have devs listen to me.
Coding I’ll do later… Like 30 years from now…

Perhaps you could. I’m still in early alpha, pre-release, early access though. It will only cost you ten bucks to get in. Then two dollars every patch. Even if they are just typo fixes.

Meowjoker:
You’re on to gold there! Genius!

Mausamune:
No, but I have a position at my company you are perfect for.

TheWorkshopr:
You will. I feel you are wise beyond your years.

I made a chess game like 25 years ago. Using Turbo Pascal.

Here I bless you for great deeds.

i have rpg maker but i hardly ever use it… i mean at least they have javascript support now but feels like the documentation is kind poor and really i would wanna use typescript with it to traspile to javascript… kinda whish they had used C# as a scripting language instead and let you edit the code in visual studio with its intelicense that would have made it easier… a crapy script editor really makes it so much worse to work with.

and anyway i find tha engine limited my idea game would mix a wolfenstine style raycasting 2.5D engine + a tile engine combined like bluebytes Albion… (hand down one of the greates RPGs of all time along classics like FF6, Chrono trigger and Phantasy star)

That i also toys a bit with doing a rogue like with the standard widows console app template but frankly screwing around with the text buffer to get rendering fast enught is a pain and still getting the color right… i was going for the CGA textmode graphics limit charm…

Confusiarch:
Your technical credentials are above mine. I just like placing the sprites on tile sets, then imagining lasers shooting at the sprites as I erase them. xD Also, your taste in RPGs is quality. Have you tried the Trails of Cold Steel games? Good times.

Oh and to make this OW related again. Something numbers % are too high on Rein, and buff Sombra!

Well congratulations, but I’m afraid it doesn’t work like that lol.

Chest op, pls nerf. Also, room too big. Why isn’t the room a single dimension so 1d people don’t get lost in it?

Crash works. Whatever you do, don’t change this part.

Waiting for more chest lore!
