The giant hole in the middle of the objective makes it a Roadhog fest. Please rework the map, thanks.
It’s a terrible point, ppl do like to play all the boop heroes for the cheesy kills tho.
Which causes 1-sided matches and makes many heroes completely unusable.
It’s no worse than any number of maps with abusable bridges.
Those maps need changed too.
Hole needs to be bigger. More cliffs also
The only crime about ilios is
ruins map lol
One sided matches are basically baked in more often than not. This isn’t unique to Illios Well. If anything, it’s kind of crazy how there’s only a single map among the many tri-maps of king of the hill that had a death pit in the middle. With how huge the map pool is now, a death pit in the middle, rather than just a drop down pit (which in fairness can still make you effectively dead) like in that one Oasis map, would be welcome to increase the count to 2. A shame the last time we got a new king of the hill it was Samoa. Which I don’t know the general consensus, but I at least find it to be a trainwreck of maps. Especially the map on the beach.
Good idea. Maybe we can add more wells and just rename the map Ilios Wells?
We could just turn the entire map into a giant pit with no point in the middle.
As you know you’re gonna face Hog, you can anticipate :
ZArya bubbles / Pharah / Orisa / Lifeweaver.
Play with sideways.
If you know what’s going to happen, how can you complain you let it happen ?
I like the environment being impactful. Why do these maps have to change? You can play any hero on them and find success still while other obvious benefit more from the maps than others.
i like it more than oasis uni where if someone falls down there they are as good as dead or everyone might as well jump down with them
the well is funny but the other one is very annoying and is stagger city
I’m fine with maps having their own niche. You can still play around it. That being said, i do main Kiri, so its easy for her to tp, or climb up, out of falling down.
Why do you ask (not sure whom) rework map?
Environmental Eliminations is a major factor in 1-sided matches. Getting 1 or more 1-shots by knocking players off the map with the simple press of a button is a monumental swing in the fight that 9/10 times will lead to a fight win.
I’m of the opinion that there should be no death pits next to any objective or primary travel route.
i never fell the giant hole in the middle was a bad design compared to every single new ow2 map, junker city is complete trash
Why are you playing next to a giant hole? Just cap it when the other team is dead and go play somewhere better after.
