Illari is a very well-rounded and very fun support, and aside that she’s a bit overtuned, she’s GREAT. If I were to nerf her I’d increase her ult cost and maybe reduce her Pylon’s health from 150 to 100, or, reduce the healing per second from 50 to 40 or 35.
She comes off as if they got Symmetra to work as a support lol
Great work Blizz, you’re many things and that includes good hero designers.
As for the nerfs. I would say shift healing from pylon to RMB.
The more support is required to RMB for healing over totem, the less LMB we will see overall.
I don’t think touching the pylons hp is necessary. By just shifting the healing power onto RMB and making it a bit more reliable – making the recharge much more tolerable – The more RMB over LMB we will be seeing over this hero, further increasing the skill sealing.
I genuinely thought about that but her RMB already felt strong to me, the idea with a health nerf was to enable its strength and amplifying its weakness. But all in all good ideas!
is gonna be hard to buff or nerf this champ. Any little thing will just either break that line between broken or useless, just like sym.
This is literally sym as support because you know, they like to do her bad.
–back to topic–
the totem heals 50 hp per tick vs 40 on the RMB. Totem range seems to be the same as RMB
the problem i have with RMB is the consumption rate of the heal and the recharge time. It doesn’t heal enough during rough moments. Having totem down can be felt harshly at times. I worry that weakening it without proper compensation will just make using another support a much better choice.
Hitting pylon is 100% necessary because it does too much for virtually no effort. The balance is doing some minor qol buffs such as allow her primary fire to recover while healing AND melee. It heals MORE than torb turret and traditionally similar skills have had less healing to emphasize more damage output to advance the game.
Another nerf would be to allow the sunburst explosion to have fall off from say 120 to 90dmg at max range. Give players some minor reduction in damage for staying away from allies and taking the time to space each other.
I’m not certain yet, but she seems really strong? I might have to unlock her asap otherwise, I might start deranking if I don’t have her unlocked in competitive.
I still think kiriko is a stronger support overall though because of suzu and flanking ability.
New Hero so could be! But yeah shifting power like that feels odd but maybe just a slight faster recharge as compensation for hitting pylong with a healing nerf?
People like to whine about sustain but don’t question why it’s that high to begin with…the damage. Or more accurately the lack of balancing the two and going in circles. Burst Damage is too high and hitscans need knocked off their throne but heroes like Pharah make that a slippery slope
Yeah the first thing I usually do is read the wiki on hero releases so I can get my numbers for testing lol. Glad I could help a wittle
you know sym had an issue where her beam wasn’t doing the full dmg. I wonder if that bug is now making its way into her healing. Cuze i swear sometimes it went up fast. And other times, it just doesn’t budge lol.
if her RMB has better recharge or control of it, then we can weaken pylon. RMB alone just won’t cut it. if the pylon is too weak and RMB isn’t compensated, then she effectively loses out on so much healing. I would rather just go moria.
Ultimate – the only nerfs it needs is nerf on charge and for it not to pierce shields. Aoe proc shouldn’t go through shields.
and i say it carefully because that ultimate, as it is, has soo many counters and ways to cancel it.
I havent played her yet, i dont have her unlocked yet. But ive played against her. She seems mostly fine, i think just mild nerfs in the numbers department and she’s good to go.
her turret heals for too much imo, if torbs poor turret hits like a noodle maybe her turret should heal like one too. fair is fair.
yeah but you know how players are. They will complain about it and have it nerfed.
We lost the original torb, we lost the original sym and her lock on primary, the cycle will continue. I am at least trying to mitigate huge loses for no reason.
The pylon heal requires everyone to pretty much be near it. We can’t just 100 percent compare the two without realistically looking at it as a whole.
i had countless matches where my team litterally just never in range of it unless i get more aggressive with it. Which ultimately causes it to be expoxed and die lol.
