I don´t know, how about you, but this still bothers me a bit. I do my part as a support and get almost no assist, because it doesn´t count pylon healing for some reason. It feels underwhelming to say the least.
I wish they fixed this.
Complaining about assists when you have a litteral healbot so you can concentrate on doing damage ?
Well… I won’t sympathize with you here. Every other support must choose in a moment M beetween healing or damage (except lucio, but he requires something else to compensate).
You just have to put the pylone somewhere and let him do the job while you do damage 95% of the game. So don’t complain about assists
Generally, if the action is automated, it doesn’t count as an assist.
You won’t gain assists leaving Lucio’s Crossfade on healing, but you will get an assist if you use AMP while eliminating a target.
Likewise, Illari, won’t get an assist when pylon is healing a target, but she will when she’s holding RMB on an ally.
…Illari too.
Not true in QP. I have to heal much more after all the nerfs.
I don’t think it’s a big deal at all, just do your thing.
That’s not true the vast majority of the time. I feel like people still think Illari is like she was on release. It’s trivial to destroy pylon, it’s very easy for a lot of characters to even peek and one-shot it or destroy it with AoE without even seeing it, regardless of any placement. You aren’t dealing damage 95% of the time and leaving all the healing to pylon unless the enemy is actively ignoring you and your team and have their brains shut off.
Even with pylon up, it’s so much damage going around that you often have to use your beam quite a bit because pylon alone, cannot keep people up through the damage. Pylon isn’t as strong or durable as it was, if you can use it as the only healing while damaging 95% of the game, that speaks more to the enemy team being bad than pylon being strong.
Pylon heals less than Mercy per second and people don’t play Mercy for her amazing healing output so that should tell you how absurd it is to think Illari can just throw out pylon to do all the healing for her while she deals damage 95% of the game.
Lose the I-s-t, and i would actually care about this topic.
