Not necessarily. There are a lot of repeat posters, and at least half of them are because Blizzard made the mistake of leaving Mercy a must-pick for too long.
On the scale of tens of millions of players, a couple hundred aren’t much.

Please don’t put numbers in there… i think it’s hardly “tens of millions” and Blizz never gives the actual number on active players publicly… Anyway, if it is enough to generate a bad reaction in some customers that are willing to address it and trying to fix for such a long time it must only mean that something hasn’t worked right…
Maybe not buffing but improving QoL could help or for starters even just having actual consideration of the actual problems
one would think that if a rework is ticking off the fanbase that once enjoyed a hero this much to the point where they aren’t letting a mega-thread go down after four monthes you’d think the Dev’s wouldn’t just look and go “but her pickrates, she’s fine”
So they give us a tone deaf reply that makes it seem like they don’t even know what the problem people are trying to address
and then they keep a thread where people can post.
So they don’t even make clear that they’re reading it quite the opposite, now make clear they don’t care anymore but it still there for silencing purposes.
jeez, I’m sorry but this seems like very shameful behaviour for a developer
Jeff already gave an answer (shown above).
The thread is now getting ignored as there’s nothing else to say.
If they didn’t merge the entire forum would be spammed.
The fanbase that has expressed concerns is incredibly tiny.
So, as above sayed they should correct the topic and actually come and say that they are not anymore interested in receiving feedback of any kind on her and that the Megathread is there just to prevent spam… That would be even ok for me, at least it’s a clear answer
The vast majority of the posts in the mega thread are by the same people, who as stated above (over the population of tens of millions) are almost nothing. In software development the most pressing issue are the ones with the highest impact. Being “subjectively unfun” to maybe 100 or so individuals with strong opinions immediately after what was likely months worth of work to change her is probably at the bottom of their list compared to numerous game breaking issues.
andi f a forum is ready to be spammed 4 monthes after a change went live do you think mabye some rational devs would think “huh, maybe this is worth putting somewher eon our to-do list even if it’s only secondary or tertiary priority”
It’s still enough to keep a mega-thread relevant, compare that to D’va’s fans who were just as bad before her rework but that hate died down in what 3 weeks at most? so D’va fans were able to enjoy their rework eventually but these Mercy players are ready to keep a mega-thread relevant.
I know which one would be considered a failure and which is a success.
Tiny or not, the problem is there and is persistent… either you fix things or you try to solve that “fanbase” problem, you don’t need to hide it…
Whatever they do that doesn’t bring back mass res or instant res won’t be good enough for them.
Im all for swapping e and ult (the res part) but it’s not getting buffed.
but making a post that is tone deaf to the actual issue’s being raised (the majority had nothing about her power and that’s what Jeff said was fine) and not even saying that this problem was on their tertiary list of priorities?
oh and then keeping a mega-thread alive
yeah
on top of that Mercy dosen’t even fit the bill of what the Devs want, she’s got such a low skill cieling it’s insane, and her on fire rate is so aabysmal, proof that she’s nothing but the eternal sidekick.
That’s not true, i have read tons of different ideas and improvements even for the actual Valk, please don’t state things like that…
Ultimately they may rework Mercy.
But because of how vocal mercy players are, they’d like to fix some other heroes first.
Because whatever way they rework Mercy, there will be a large group of them screaming bloody murder.
Since they are probably going to do some heavy nerfs along with buffs.
What ideas that don’t result in a buff?
Regardless whatever they do, part of the Mercy mains will complain regardless. They can’t win.
instant 5 man rez while annoying was not unbalanced over all, Mercy’s pickrate only held supreme below mid plat (notice how her only competion for the “main healer role” which is necessary below Masters is Ana who is not only a high skill floor hero but also recently got gutted with Nerfs to her and buffs to everything that counters her)
So 1 instant rez connected to ult, not really a major deal.
This is correct, i think they will wait some more time too, but still no communication is kinda bad for a community… They are not making themself a great reputation by doing so…
you’re right, any changes will need to heavily nerf certain aspects of her and buff other aspects (passive vs active mainly) but honestly Jeff didn’t just give us “no feedback” his response was a tone deaf reply that didn’t even leave hope that Mercy was somewhere on their tertiary priorities.
I would love to pass you the posts link but we are on more then 90’000 posts so i would suggest you to look it up for them yourself if you don’t believe me
you are very wrong as they have already given an answer to the feedback
we have discussed this already, they have not, please read the rest of the post
