Orisa even has a highlight intro specifically pointing out you shouldn’t do this

Because Rein is fun, and players will make mistakes. I managed a 57% win percentage as Rein in the season 2 Orisa Hog meta.
Is it far more difficult? Yes. Is it rewarding to outplay them? Yes. Do I think it’s the optimal choice? No.

The range nerf to orisa makes her not as oppressive against rein, this isnt a terrible matchup to be honest.

The other way around… its even acurate in game. She was build to counter him and in one interaction they also said “You chased DF out of Numbany, so bla bla bla”.

No. Let the people play what they want. Not playing the exact counter to a hero is not throwing.

Better a good rein than a bad… whatever you play into orisa as a tank. I don’t tend to have trouble going into orisa anyway so I don’t really change to counter her no matter the role I’m playing 
I’ll change to counter one of her teammates or something but orisa? I just don’t worry about her, she doesn’t really feel like a threat to me as a tank so I just go after the rest of her team.
still your best bet against this op hero. only monkey does good against her but they can just counter you with dps picks. rein is still the best tank against her for most ranks. if she was balanced you would outplay her with mobility but mobile tanks dont have enough damage to even 2v1 her.
I’ve found that zarya and Dva are the best options before just picking Orissa yourself
