I’m in a dilemma. I friended a player, but I’ve soon realized they’re not the greatest person. I want to unfriend them, but I just want to know if they’re notified about it or not.
No clue. But why should it matter? If you do not want them on your list, just remove them from your list.

I don’t believe they’re notified. They might realize you’re not on their list anymore, but as long as you don’t have mutual friends who play together you shouldn’t have a problem. ^-^

They won’t be notified explicitly, but removing a friend removes that connection on both sides. If they’re specifically looking for you on their list afterward, you won’t be there anymore, so they’ll know you removed them at that point.
If it’s just a random person you met online and played with a few times, it’s likely they’ll just forget about you and never notice.

It does not. I remember I looked at my friends list recently and a few people I randomly added from ages ago aren’t there anymore.

I’d say remove it anyway. Even if they do notice, unless you happen to have a super uncommon name, it’s virtually impossible to refind someone. I certainly don’t know any of my friend’s numbers. Serendipity is common, the chances of them finding Serendipity#11213 is pretty doubtful.
Nope, been unfriended plenty of times and never got notified.
Unfriend AND block them, that way they can’t keep sending you friend requests back.
Trust me, people are craycray.

Just unfriend them. Trust me you unfriending someone is not going to be the end of the world.
