it’s nothing short of gameplay sabotage. just finished a match where the mercy ONLY healed and buffed our other DPS. didn’t even acknowledge anybody else on the team.
if you do this you deserve the loss that comes with it

Woah Fizzy relax, take some time between posts friend.
absolutely not. there is raging to do
Atta boy sport, I expect three more posts by the end of the day.
i mean yeah this is reportable . that is gameplay sabotage
My man’s determined
Just out of curiosity, was the other DPS Genji and/or McCree?
Don’t worry, it takes a whole eternity to ban one account with your reports, and that is just 24h suspension, not even talking about how many accounts are there in one hand. So go ahead and waste more time. And btw, I’d rather report mercy that never pockets some hard carry heroes like Ashe, Sj, pharah. Those supposed to be hardpocketed.
Good luck with that. All my friends quit playing Ow a year and a half ago.
I agree with this… i recall one game we had a widow and his friend on mercy who spent the entire match glued to the widow…
At that point you know the player getting pocketed is trash and is just trying desperately not to feel like they are
It’s 100% Gameplay Sabotage.
This kinda players are absolute worst. The same goes for Mercy players who is glued to Pharah or sometimes Echo & forget the rest of the team. This sort of players should click on “Uninstall” button.
No way. I will pocket my dps ana so she feels good about herself.
I’ve been accused of pocketing “my duo” more than once, even though I mostly solo queue, and when I don’t, I don’t necessarily pocket the people I’m queued with.
It’s the way you play Mercy, you mostly focus on one person, and from time to time, you damage boost someone else for a second because you know they’re going to use an ability. And then you go back to pocketing the best player on your team.
And of course, you help/rez the other support when necessary.
Just playing Devil’s advocate here, but when you are the other support in a team that has a Mercy Pocket, it’s your job to support the other two players. The Mercy shouldn’t have to worry about anything else but pocketing the carry. It sounds like in the game in question, your other support was the one not doing their job.
As a support main, I don’t mind it if whoever they pocket is the carry. Honestly, it’s more the case that I am just used to people exploiting pharmercy in my team comp. It just means there are 2 less players for me to worry about, but put more pressure on me to survive at all cost in order to heal the other 2 teammates.
But we will both report you for being toxic.
Pretty much the proper way to play mercy. Pocket the stronger dps all game. Hero needs a rework imo to incentivize actually supporting the entire team to be most effective, instead of just pocketing a dps and making the game less fun for every1 else in the lobby.
…actually, it’s not by the definition supplied by Blizz but as it’s an automated system, ‘gameplay sabotage’ is whatever the person reporting the player says it is…?
I’ve played with Mercy players who would, ultimately, end up pocketing one DPS to victory, and I’ve done it myself. However there is a big difference between sussing out over an engagement or two who is hitting their shots, and or who will benefit most from the blue beam, but that’s very different to the way some Mercy players will pocket in a two-stack.
I had a game on Rialto recently where our Mercy was hard-pocketing a Widow right from the start. Now I was playing Soldier and by the half-way point I had about three less kills than the Widow. I was being aggressive and taking off-angles while she was passively sniping from the back-line on attack, doing very little to push the objective. As a result we were basically going four vs. five, and if the Mercy had ever healed our other support, rezed our tank, or tried damage boosting my Soldier, if only during my visors, it would have been an easy win because we were holding our own even with her AFK blue-beaming a Widow all game.
In the end I just gave up and left because I’m not going to sweat to carry dead-weight like an AFK Mercy.
