If you lost a close game, or a game that made you hard-tilt, please don't queue up immediately

2 minutes ago, I recently lost a game on Anubis 2nd Point Defense where two of my teammates died in the last 30 seconds of the game before the last team fight, and it was a win or loss game too. We were also holding for 4 minutes on defense against Attack Bunker comp, before we suddenly lost the last team fight. I’ve been trying to climb back to Masters and that game really, really hard tilted me.

What I’m doing now is taking a 10 minute break before queuing for another game, so that I’m not in a tilted mindset. I’m listening to some music, drinking some water, just so I can clear my head off from the last game. It’s working. It’s helping me not go into a game where I’m angry or potentially toxic to my new teammates, since I’ll most likely get a new batch of players in my game.

It helps knowing that you and your teammates aren’t tilted in your game and all of you are in a positive mindset and ready to win your games. Hope my post helped anyone out. Thanks.

This post really should be common sense, and I’m one of the ones that are guilty of going into a new match completely tilted from my previous one. I’ll get on a losing streak from heck because of bad team composition or lack of grouping and, like anyone, I’ll start playing worse because I’m too focused on what my team isn’t doing versus what they are doing.

I’m not a bad player, I’m not bad at the game. Like anyone, I get angry too after a few losses for no apparent good reason.

I’m guilty of this too myself sometimes. I’m really trying to avoid to lose too much SR, and I don’t want a tilting loss game to affect my attitude and gameplay. If I get toxic after a tilting game, my teammates may perform worse, increasing the chances that we lose the game. Also, I will perform worse if I’m tilted, which will mean I will most likely lose the game.

Taking a break will help me from ruining a ranked game for me and my teammates, since I want to save them the trouble having to deal with me being tilted.

Its kind of impossible to play comp though you may as well play 1 match a day

Can i just say, placed 2980, 1 match and i was back into diamond

And i get this Level 20 something or whathever that may be mcccree in my team, cant land a shot, doesnt switch, legit i had gold kills as brig,

He lost us the match, and then he says " im just not too good"

THEN WHY ARE YOU PLAYING MCCREEE?! legit play literally Any Other hero,

Alresdy increadibly tilted, go next match

We are doing good

Enemy team goes bunker…

We get rekt as im literslly screaming in chat:

SWITCH OFF, PICK SOMBRA, TRACER , GENJI BASTION REAPER, PICK DIVE, ANYTHING OTHER THAN WIDOW

GG we lose

Next match? They get a masters on their team and i get the toxic kid

Its impossible to not get tilted every match

If you’re getting tilted in every single match, then I think that you personally have a bit of an unhealthy problem. This game shouldn’t be causing you to basically scream at your teammates every single game. I don’t play Competitive, but I still have good games and still force myself to take a deep breath every now and again.

Everyone is just so uncoperative it makes me angry, i dont get toxic at them, but it just.makes me so angry

Sometimes i wish i could literally play with 5 AI on my team, like legit improve the Ai and give.me 5 so i can play with them, make them react to voice coms and im goochi

What if the McCree went Widow? Would you be down with that?

If he knew how to play her? I dont care

I dont care what people play, i just want them to play properly, if you want to play triple dps and that works? Im fine im open minded

But legit, atleast use something you know how to play

Not a hero that you dont know and just say “im just bad at x hero”

I only get mega tilted at noob Mei and reaper

in my experience the peak overwatch is when you queue up unbelievably tilted with nothing but a desire to bash your head against the proverbial ranked wall game after game expecting nothing but defeat

usually ends up in a winstreak for me, your results may vary

Mental state is a big thing in overwatch. You can easily go from one or two tilting games to a 20 game loss streak just because you we’re not playing as good as you could have because of your clouded judgement.

I made this mistake a lot before. My sr would go down as far as 500 in a single day where I just kept going at it without taking a single moment to think. (Always went back up. But felt like garbage after losing 500)

Back when I did this I talked to my coach, and he convinced me to take frequent breaks while playing Overwatch. Even if the game was great, I should take a break and rest my mind to mentally prepare myself for the next game. He told me this after I lost 1000sr after a fit of rage and I regained that 1000 and 400 more using that one pointer.
