If you have bad teammates every match, you are bad too

Yeah, as opposed to the angels disagreeing with me who flame their team every match for making them lose. Love how a general anti-flaming post gets attacked on these forums. Perfectly encapsulates what an awful place this is. You are all as miserable as you deserve to be.

Gamer suck. That’s not bait. That’s the opinion held by the majority of human beings on earth, in case you haven’t been outside before. Sorry to burst your little echo chamber. I tell you guys that sometimes you just lose in this game, and you all start throwing tantrums. Have some dignity, take your losses, and don’t flame your teammates. It’s not hard (for normal human beings).

if they dont queue qp then you wont see them. Its not really about the size of the player base, there are 500 people in that rank whether we have millions of players or a few thousand

that is something the community says, but its not how the MM is coded

The real system is it makes every match a 40-60% win chance for both sides no matter what kind of win or loss streak you are on. It doesnt factor in streaks at all, just 40-60% every time. the mm never puts you in a match that it THINKS you have lower than 40% to win

Why are you quoting my very funny posts to me? I made them, I know they exist. I’m sorry the other guy isn’t as funny as me when he makes his horrible arguments, but that’s more of a him problem.

Funny that you only quote me, though. Considering his posts are no better. Almost like you don’t care about my tone at all, you just want to shut up all dissent. Same thing happens in every horrible echo chamber gamer forum. People pretend that tone matters only when they disagree. Such obvious phony concern.

“Uh, it’s actually really toxic and problematic for you to tell me I can’t rage at my teammates every game.” Love that classic gamer logic.

But then you still see T500 support mains lose games in Gold. So it seems like the idea is to never create a match that’s lower than 40% chance of winning, but in reality it ends up being far lower for number of reasons that the matchmaker is unable to account for.

But this miscalculation likely doesn’t happen too often enough to prevent players from climbing. I still believe that anyone can climb out of at least metal ranks if they get good enough with their role and most importantly, grind.

It’s impossible to win 100% of your games, and unless you get more SR from PBSR, you’re only going to get 25SR per win. So grind is required regardless of how good of a player you are.

It is funny that you have multiple people disproving what you said and you put your fingers in your ears and pretend you didn’t hear them.

Why even make a post if your not willing to hear others opinions? Waste of people’s time.

Troll topic trying get people angry.

It’s funny that you think stating the opposite opinion counts as “disproving.” I guess that means this comment is “disproving” yours.

Are you people under the impression that just stating your opinion means the other person must concede immediately? I gave my opinion because I think it’s right. The same reason you gave yours. What is this infantile reasoning that says just entering the conversation means you won automatically?

Love how every non-majority opinion is just called a troll. There’s that classic baby brain gamer mindset, that just can’t imagine someone ever having a different perspective. It’s OK to just tell someone they’re wrong. You don’t have to make up some backstory about me to feel like you won the argument before it started. Such a childish way to go through life.

Man, gamers get more and more pathetic and sheltered every single day. Can’t even fathom the concept of a discussion where people still disagree at the end. Get out of your echo chambers, you are losing touch with basic human concepts.

Hard to agree when you heal 20k in a single match yet still lose

No, I can confirm having bad teammates is a real thing. I played comp 2 days ago and manage to rack up 40 kills, the other dps only had 13 kills. I thought, “man this guy is just having a really bad day”. It was until I checked his previous seasonal ranks that I saw what the problem is. Im a master player on console, the other dps is a low plat player. It made complete sense why he was constantly dying, feeding and basically useless. I even gave the benefit of the doubt and checked the enemy dps, both of them were also masters. This means the game was literally rigged from the start. No matter how hard I carried that game, overwatch made sure it was impossible for me to win that.

I just cant trust the system, the game is rigged. The funny thing is this is not even the first time something like this has happened. Now when I see myself having 3-4 times more kills than the other guy, I know the matchmaking was rigged.

I know from personal experience the ranking system in this game is very good and puts you where you should be. If you are good you will climb.

That’s very flawed logic, considering everyone agreed in OW1 that it takes 6 to win, but 1 to lose. Just saying, this needed to be thought through a bit more.

I call those players “filler” cause they can just sit there and just be around in the game and do nothing basically except just be alive and get a participation trophy. when you have 1-2 good players on the team then the rest are playing average or way below average so they pair the above average player with people playing poorly to keep players as close as possible to a 50% WR. :skull:

it’s like super annoying cause I can push towards nearly 65% win rates but then as soon as I get anywhere near 70% it dips cause I get weirdo crap matches cause I suddenly went from winning 7 games in a row to losing 2 cause of people insta dying and walking in constantly without grouping/resetting and backfilled a third LOLW. wont say anything more about trying to keep those numbers bell curved blizz I’m sorry don’t suspend me.

this is QP mind you, I haven’t touched comp in YEARS last time i touched comp I played torb and moira on a alt account went like 90% wr and got diamond and had people throw my games cause I was picking torb on attack and they jumped off the map and stuff so I quit comp immediately and played QP cause I could play what I wanted when I wanted and still could perform and win as many games as I wanted ( FOR THE MOST PART ) I realized pretty quickly though that you could go 7-10 games then immediately it would match you into bizarre games after with leavers, people who had zero experience so it was basically a lost cause. I still tried my best but there is almost nothing you can do for some teams and it’s sad because that’s extremely demoralizing and it feels INTENTIONAL on blizzards part that they do that match making tactic after win streaks to slow % down.

When I close my eyes, I can’t see.

You’re a troll for sure

No. I used to be a hardcore alcoholic. When I was on a drinking binge I would drink 24/7. I would fall from diamond/plat to silver/bronze every time because my judgement and reaction times were terrible even though I was trying my best. Every time I sobered up I easily climbed back up to plat/diamond. This cycle must have happened on the same account at least 4 times. It definitely 100% puts you where you should be. But carry on blaming everyone else for the fact you suck if it makes you feel better.

I want to stay a Bronze hero but doing 10 games is way to long for my attention span.

then why do i always diff but my healers get mega diffed like 50% less heals and our tanks poo. Then i have a friend support, i go tank and we get diffed by our dpsers lol

While I don’t think you are entirely wrong, the statement is way too over-generalizing. I may not be a good player, but I am leagues better than the players who throw or leave the game. While in the higher ranks where that type of behavior isn’t as common, I would agree with you, but I don’t think this applies to the other end. Too many people who are new to videogames, new to overwatch, “poor sports”, “leavers”, trolls, etc, are being paired up with people just trying their best, and that’s gotta be really frustrating for anyone just trying to improve at the game.

Its not really up for discussion if matchmaker works or not. I saw with my own eyes players in diamond writing their assumption that rialto is a new map while they were feeding on tank. This is a new player who put in a match with diamond dps who directly communicated to me that he was new to the game.
