Then don’t nerf his revolver. I don’t know anyone that actually thinks mcrees flash bang is fair so just nerf that instead or remove it and replace it with another ability

McCree’s pickrate is <4% overall this week, <3% in GM (and falling for the last few days).
That would put him in nearly* half of all games if evenly distributed, but it is statistically more likely it puts him in nearly 3/8ths of games, sometimes on both teams.
This is fairly common, but it’s worth noting that he has a negative (< 50%) winrate. Of the top 5 picked DPS (Ashe, Genji, McCree, Widowmaker and Junkrat in that order) he is the only one with a negative win rate.
Quite simply, he’s being picked because people like to play him, not because he is too strong. If you nerf him, his win rate will go down, but his pick rate will not (except perhaps in GM, where players are more competitive in their picks, although even there he has a reasonable pick rate and negative win rate).
I’m actually in favor of the current nerf, since I never liked the Machine Gun McKelly buff in the first place – I just think he deserves a compensation buff somewhere else in his kit.
*It actually takes more than 4% to have 1 McCree every other game and his actual pick rate is <4%, so I am rounding twice in the same direction, effectively exaggerating McCrees frequency, but not by much.

Me. I play him because I like to not because he’s op ,up . I been a McCree player since beta. Bought the game for McCree. I ll always play McCree even if he’s up.

Re-buff flashbang or even give him the 250 HP so he’s not so weak against dives. But whatever buff he gets, he NEEDS the fire rate nerf first. It’s absolute insanity rn and the only reason he’s not the top DPS pick is because Ashe is more OP and Widow is OP when there are no shields.
Mcree has been a top3-5 DPS pick in GM for the last year since he fire rate buff and is the literal definition of powercrept hero. Mcree mains will throw around winrate as if that doesn’t matter (Despite him having had a 50% winrate in GM for a solid month before the last patch).

Flashbang, hp increase, increased range or a new ult. Dead eye and his current flashbang are terrible, and he has a big hitbox

He has always been a popular choice, yes. That’s cuz ppl find him fun. If he was always a good pick while popular his win rate would reflect that. And being just over 50% in gm would put him in the bottom few.
Last time he was seriously a meta pick due to being strong was years ago.

His highest pick rate is around 4%, which is about every other game by 1 side.
To go with that
Mccrees highest, HIGHEST win rate on public stats, which is in GM, is under 50%.
But hey ya. lets nerf him.

I do want the nerf… just so he can get a real buff. The firerate lowkey barely helped him, it just ruined the perception of his kit. Good riddance.

Revert flashbang nerf so he is in pre goats stage. From there think about the roll und dead eye. He does not need a buff to flash or his gun.
If you press Q currently it is to reload or respawn. The roll could also just be an instant reload as the distance of the roll is a joke
IMO, McCree is the game’s true high skill hero.
His overall win rate doesn’t matter. Only your personal win rate with him does.
Also, because of that he doesn’t need buffs because of a low win rate.
It is true, but people act like he is low skill to save face when being dominated by a superior player. It is really quite sad I never get the recognition I deserve for being so good at teh video game.
