then you should care whenever you see someone leave a goodbye post. idk why people who actively play this game don’t care that players are leaving. like you know that how games die, and if you think oh it’s just a few people then your dead wrong. as games like Overwatch dies through a death of a thousands cuts, so you should take note whenever someone does leave. as that means that you’re game is getting closer to death, not further from it
Your post sounds very grim
Okay, it’s like this, they obviously do not genuinely care about the game. If they did, we would have had the pay to win fixed without Microsoft’s help.
A lot of them are delusional and believe matchmaking is better with less people. Hate to break it to them, but that objectively makes matchmaking worse. That being said, I am glad they are still having fun. That’s good.
Let’s be real, Overwatch is too big to die. It will always have a place. Just as TF2 does. It means almost nothing to anyone that is not part of the scene… But it is alive!
Not only don’t care but also encourage them to leave, lmao.
They will be begging for players once when the queue times starts affecting them
The queues are still the same. Blizzard will just keep loosening it until they ain’t nothing to feel.
That is the thing: it will come to a point where it is so bad that even removing matchmaking completely won’t be enough.
I mean, if you read their posts, they’ve already made up their minds about how they feel. What are we going to do to convince them to stay otherwise?
No I don’t think I will. Not because I think those people leaving make the game better, it obviously doesn’t, but because it’s always the same handful of reasons as everyone else. They aren’t special. If they want to quit they should just quit. When enough people quit the game will be forced to respond or die.
But that’s on the devs to care about, I have no personal investment in whether overwatch does well or not. It’s fun to argue about things with random strangers online, but if overwatch dies I’ll just find a different game to fill that gap and that’s that. If it’s fun I’ll play, and if it’s not fun I won’t play.
100% not. Attention seeker who want to be recognized dont deserve any kind of sympathy. Sorry, but people here dont care and the devs do not read it. You can leave a game at any time and come back if you want to, so you dont need to announce your departure.
Matter of fact is that most of the people who leave cry about the most banal things or things that are in the nature of OW and will never change.
Amen
People can leave if they want…
I do however question why they’re “leaving” because sometimes the reasoning is nonsensical or because of something that’s completely unavoidable (and going to be present elsewhere as well - like say people and not necessarily the game itself)…
But also just the whole notion of “leaving” as if there was something holding you here. This isn’t a job. You don’t have to announce anything. You can play other things if you feel like it. Nobody is going to care if you do
On the one hand, I do want people to stay. On the other, the reason they’re leaving are reasons I’m staying so… should I be the one leaving instead then?
Because it’s the same 5 people. Or someone with 2 posts. Neither of which want feedback, they want to type and leave. (Except those 5 people who keep coming back, I guess)
“Bye” is the best answer.
if you care for the game you should never spend a single cent and play 6vs6 like crazy to show blizzard 5vs5 sucks, if this doesnt work and dont improve the game then leave, the best thing that can happen to overwatch is close forever to show what happens when you threat your playerbase like trash
Weird how much happier people would be if they used this one trick. Instead, they think it’s more reasonable to hang around doomposting.
The only reason I would care about a goodbye is for personal struggles and or untimely death. The rest are dramaqueens trying to diva their way out.
Here’s the thing.
I don’t care if someone posts about leaving. This isn’t an airport terminal, you don’t need to announce your departure. People stop playing games all the time for various reasons. What? Do you think if you post on the forums you should get special treatment? No. You’ll be given the same interest that every other player gets when they quit, which is to say, none.
I’ve been reading goodbye posts since 2016. It’s more useful to pay attention to other things.
I mean, most of them just want some attention.
Its like this OW vs MR drama “ohh blablabla marvel has way more players”
Day 1 - 480.000
Day 2 - 240.000
So imagine if 240.000 posted on day 2 “goodbye im leaving MR”
Would you think MR would be dead already?
You must be a leaver. You are defending that type of negligent play. But if somebody’s going to raise quit why would they even play the game in the first place? I am against your whole post and I think you need to read what you posted. You’re telling players it’s ok to just leave the game and sabotage other matches especially ones are taking the game seriously. Just because the game on the break of dead doesn’t mean you mess around with other people’s matches that still takes the game serious not everybody can afford new generation of console. Because Marvels is not available for those consoles. So save us the time and just stop playing the game if you going to leave a match
Because people here are hateful to the fact that anyone could criticize beloved OW and Blizzard oftentimes claiming that any criticism is done in bad faith when it’s the other way around.
People don’t get mad about stuff over night.
