Don’t worry you playing with higher bronze. I got “promoted” from bronze 5 to Bronze 2 and the next match I played it was the same dps.
it’s just a shiny worthless number. games are still going to be based on your hidden MMR.

You need about 49 wins in bronze 5 to rank up, and that’s if your OW1 rank was above 1000SR. Cause bronze 5 is sooo big. Adding an Iron tier fixes this problem…

If you’re stuck in bronze, than your MMR is bronze too.

Being Bronze is different than stuck in Bronze 5. There’s a major SR hill to climb after we all got De-ranked.
My Tank from Gold was deranked to Bronze 5 and is climbing out after the patch.
like eastern said, being in bronze is different than being stuck in bronze 5, I’m not going to give you my stats, but I should atleast been moved to bronze 4 by now.
Or they could just distribute the SR between ranks more evenly instead of putting 75% of the playerbase into bronze.
Worst is when it does rank you you go to Bronze 2 or higher. Normal progression is broken.
it would be interesting to see what the standard deviation of each rank is now, its hard to believe that bronze is “5%” of the playerbase

Ranked is most likely only 10k players. There’s too many same names showing for it to be populated.
If you can’t get out of bronze, it’s not the game’s fault. Just played tank placements yesterday, and I got placed bronze 2. After 7 wins I’m now silver 1 (I was gold in OW1 as tank)… The system is totally fine.
umm…yes it is ? I’m waiting in 12 mins queues.
at that rate i won’t even get 7 matches in today to contest my rank or even progress laterally.
Screenshot these waits every time. I find it ridiculous that a fresh new title would have this kind of wait on a Saturday afternoon. No excuse on the player with those kinds of wait times. Those queues exist because it’s dead or the matchmaking algs are glitched - trying too hard to rig.

I went 21-3 on tank and finally made it to Bronze 4. But it showed me Bronze 5 on the promotion screen. I only realized I was in 4 when I partied up with my friends and I was allowed to queue tank again

Lol, indeed. I’m stuck at silver 5. Just went 48-2 a few games ago. It was amusing at first, but now it’s rough to even play. I need competitive games. None of my stats have updated on my profile. I’ve got almost 50 comp games and it’s still blank.
This sucks.
*Edited to add * I see people saying nothing is wrong. That may be true in some cases, but there’s a large group of people where games aren’t registering after completion. I have almost 50 comp games and my profile is blank. It’s an acknowledged problem that they said was being fixed, but it hasn’t been for many of us. Supposedly after our stats start updating, we start from scratch because none of the stats from previous games we’ve played this current season have been recorded. It really stinks.
I’m bronze 2 after promotion. Same team members next game from Bronze 5. Comp population is dead right now.
Its almost the same problem with most of the competitive games. Thats why thres a elo hell term.
