Oh I understand this completely. But the reality is, if TF2 wants to “overtake” OW2 like OP is asking, this is simply one of the requirements. I am happy going back and playing old games that don’t get updates any more, but if you want to stay ahead of OW2 it’s going to be one of the requirements.
i know i know , i even said it right after you have cut my quote.
Im more like its till top 30 and still doing a number on many games.
So make a better thread in the first place. This was nonsense once again.
trust me that site doesnt count right. when the steam charts show 60k players those sites shoe 20k players and 5k bots. in match bots in trading and casual servers just dont count. i have 2k hoursin the game i should know
I don’t think Valve will ever launch a live service game on consoles again. Too much trouble updating the game and having to pay thousands of dollars for every update to MS/Nintendo/Sony on top of it. That’s why console versions of TF2, CS:GO turned dead games there. On PC the updates are daily and free of charge.
I think steam charts counts people in menu, and these sites only when in server.
exactly this. they are a software company now
Yeah for some reason this forum is full of people just dying to see an “overwatch killer”
That would actually be a massive under taking for a gaming company and the hero shooter genre probably isnt even worth it.
TF3 would be interesting but its a huge massive project and theres easier money for valve to go after. now way tf2 would be an ow killer now
oh who could possibly do that ?
Certainly not the company that made the game that inspired overwatch and the one that could spend a lot , certainly not that company right.
Especially when that game is still for some reason being active.
my god get over yourself
they literaly dont make games anymore. valve has no reason to compete
No they are innovators, they dont make anything that isnt worth while and groundbreaking, true, but they support remasters and spin offs of their game a lot.
Incase you hadnt noticed almost their titles have had remakes by someone and they even support it a lot financially as well as publish it.
Think of the attention span of the “target audience” (14-28ish?)
TF2 hasn’t had any new content in a while
It would not last against everything else that is updated.
But it’s console, as soon as (whatever) comes out, everyone moves on to that.
Good dream to have though
You make far too many threads with too many unproven claims as though they are a fact today when they are not. Get over yourself lol
You even said here it would beat ow as if that is a fact today. Its just a projection but the language you used was as though its a fact now.
Like when you said paladins 2 is happening when it actually isnt. I dont need to get over myself, you need to quit posting a bunch of nonsense as though its a fact
Will it overtake ow ? is a question, not a claim,
stop your obsession with me calm down and learn to read.
Nah you just write a bunch of crap and I can call you out on when I see it. Your threads are awful dude. I know you dont like being called out but you are writing garbage all day every day on here.
at this point you need to look in the mirror dude. or touch some grass.
That’s why it’d be interesting to see. Imagine like Larian just surprise announcing a hero shooter. Or Valve and TF3. Because right now if you like Overwatch and want to play more hero shooter games, your next best bet is… Paladins? There’s nothing that really shapes up right now.
you want people to trust you, but dont even understand that steam chart only tracks unique steam ID’s and not bots or AI.
though people afk for items will be counted since they are real accounts afk for loot.
On steam*
The majority of OW players do not play ow on steam.
You can just play overwatch then. What you are saying is comparable to Cod players like cod and are looking for other cod clones to play?
They already have their game. I do get that competition can be a good thing but hero shooter games are hard to make and probably not worth it to take on something like ow now
