If PC has it, why doesn't console?

I would like a system that allows one to set their party to closed and or invite only, tbh theres days where i dont want to play with the friends in my list and just go solo but when i try sometimes they’ll join me and i would have to kicked them out, at time after i would kick them they will just get annoying and keep rejoining, can we please get this system for console

I’m sure you can set your party to invite only? or at least we used to be able to? I think???

Nope never been an option in game, and tbh it has never been brought up before either, ive check in settings to see if this was possible but only able to go private is the player profiles

Options > Social > Privacy > Groups. Perhaps this might work?

We need a lot of stuff… but will we get it… that’s the question.

Yeah nothing, went to options, went to privacy and all it shows is career profile visibility and streamer mode (client only), im on console and i dont see any way to change group to invite only

If console has it can pc get it? Let me disable crossplay.

On console, games depend on console status instead of a individual game status. If you go to your console options and set your status to appear offline, Overwatch will show you as offline and won’t let people join you or invite you to a group.

The functionality is there, just reached differently.

Not when its crossplay, and thats my argument, can console get an option where we can set our group party to invite only and or closed

That’s incorrect. My friends from PC can join my party any time unless in Q or comp and I have no way of stopping this or hiding my online status from them.

It’s not a huge deal but having parity in this QoL feature would be a nice thing. Also fixing the bug where PC players “request to join group” is not a request at all but rather a duplicate “join group” function.

Hmm, something has changed then. This used to block out PC players too. Wonder if there’s a separate setting in the battle.net launcher for that. Will have to investigate.
