Why are we still selling tokens on the shop and have skins we can buy with them?
We can’t earn them via watching livestreams anymore.
Does all the money go directly to Blizzard by the way?

Where else would it be going?
The contract probably lasts till the start of next season so blizzard is milking it to the last drop.
Ah that explains it then. Thanks.
The OWL shop refreshes in 9 days which makes myself and others suspect they will unvault all OWL cosmetics on the 12th for 2 - 4 weeks before removing all OWL team skins and legendaries from the store indefinitely.
there’s actually a way to get the skins and ow1 team recolours rn but idk if i can say it on here
The reddit mods deleted the post containing direct shop links to past OWL skins for some reason. Maybe Blizzard requested it to be removed, there’s no other reason I can think of for it to be deleted.
I think it’s bc the title said “exploit” and they took it at face value but it’s not an exploit. Like if people were getting the skins for free and transferring them to their account without spending it’d make it problematic but they’re using official tokens on the offical website, some people are spending money to get them so eh. It’s weird but I doubt it’s acrually a real issue and I’m guessing the links were open because the skins will return soon
But like it is somewhat of a workaround, I guess it’s bad publicity to find out that Blizzard is not secure with their shop rotations lol
The Reddit post makes me wonder if there are any existing shop IDs for the OWL gray skins? I really want the OWL gray skin for OW2 Bastion. I have his OW1 gray skin but I NEED the OW2 version with the hat.
Idek tbh those were only given out with watching the league games they weren’t ever purchasable
I wanted them too because I missed quite a lot of those because of the schedules in my region
Yeah probably. But maybe there is a small chance they do have a shop ID tied to them but they’re just hidden still. I’m gonna try and find out myself
Fair enough. I got what I wanted, was just missing some of the OG gladiators and fusion skins and was waiting patiently for the chance to get them lol. The OW2 versions just don’t hit the same
For the simple reason that people might buy them
They were still selling the Blizzcon bundle two months after the Sigma skin expired, even though they were still advertising that you could get it if you bought the bundle.
Reason = $$$, and people will buy stuff without looking at what they’re getting.
Still waiting for a Florida Mayhem Championship skin. Would be unfair to them and those players if they don’t get one.
I still have 622 tokens from viewership incentives after getting the Soldier 76 Biker variants. Only reason I’m saving them is for last remaining special skins.
I wouldn’t mind quests to be able to get them all (even if it means 10 mil damage)
But you know players are gonna throw a fit when it’s taken away and “but I had tokens that I wanted to spend/I really wanted that Ana London recolor Will they ever rerelease them?”.
Hmm, I’m not so sure they’ll remove the legendaries. Likely just the team skins. I could see them adding the legendaries to the normal store and charging a premium for them.
Money
This could very well be a thing. OWL, as a brand and IP, still belongs to Blizzard, even if the league itself is defunct, and I see no reason for them to stop selling skins.
Just bumping this real quick to confirm that both OWL gray skins and Contenders skins do appear have shop IDs tied to them.
So far Lifeweaver’s OWL gray skin & Roadhog’s Overwatch 2 Contenders skin have been discovered on the Blizzard shop by searching for shop IDs. They cost 150 tokens.
I’m just waiting for Bastion’s OWL gray skin to be discovered so I can finally get it
I can’t share the google docs link that displays all shop IDs for past OWL skins because I don’t wanna risk being banned
