Then at least let PlayStation players transfer all of their skins and stuff to another platform. I switched from PS to PC long ago, but my Pink Mercy skin is still confined to my PS account.
If you’re gonna force OW players to switch platforms, then at least give them that incentive to do it.

OW2 will likely be out before the deal even happens - you really haven’t got any reason to worry about this stuff.

I’m pretty sure MicroSoft will keep franchises that already on other platforms there.
I’m not worried about anything. I explained in my OP that I switched to PC long ago. I have zero reason to worry about it not being on PlayStation. I just want my skins on there, so if they do decide to go exclusive, then they should allow skin transfers.
What’s more likely is xbox platforms will get exclusive cosmetics and stuff like COD on Playstation atm alongside gamepass exclusive stuff.
MS would be fools to strip OW from PS. OW has so little players across all platforms as is now, they don’t want to lower that even more.
MS have been fools in the past.
They did say that they will be keeping with all contractual obligations that are currently in place. OW2 has already been confirmed to be on PlayStation consoles so I assume that they will have to follow that outline.
There is no reason not to release it on PlayStation. Now that Microsoft owns the IP, they will still collect money from sales on PlayStation. Not only that but it opens up platform specific skins for people to buy. This is really an Occam’s razor situation. Just follow where the most profit leads, and likely that is where Microsoft will go.
i think they just are going to put it all on game pass to make it much more worth than anything PS can offer, and to entice PC players into buying game pass. They paid alot for the company, they are going to want return, and they still make money off of the ps copies.
OW2 PvP is a free update for OW1 players unless you want PvE too, which you have to pay for.
overwatch is not going to be a xbox exclusive… that is to much money that they are going to be out of.
i do agree that the battle.net accounts for pc and playstation/xbox/switch need to be linked and be able to get your skins, voicelines, emotes, etc onto one account. i mean people already linked those accounts through bnet for the OWL tokens to get, i dont think it would be to difficult to get an account transfer
