If MH is supposed to be a mess Then throwing or leaving is fine

Yeah wasn’t the last thread them saying “Yeah there’s been a ton of request for less random heroes” and then not really saying anything about it… so the demand has been there forever.

a core feature that took 4 years to implement apparantly…and only due to a bug at that (or an programming hiccup due to how heroes are loaded thanks to echo)…i suppose we should go back to no limits in QP too since that was clearly the concept of the game mode…

flaws show up…changes get made to address them…where would the “majority” be today if RQ hadnt been implemented i wonder

I would say the opposite actually lmao. throwing is less defined since you might actually want to die on purpose for a chance to trade some trash hero for a better one :joy:

Never claimed to be.

I only repeat myself when someone fails to overcome the logic of it.

The principal of the mode is not even about winning. It is about the mechanic of fully random heroes.

No one likes getting stomped? Tell that to anyone who says “It’s only quickplay. Calm down.”

Clearly there are plenty of people who could care less about winning or being stomped as long as they are having fun. Because newsflash, not everyone cares about it and not everyone has winning or balance as a prerequisite to fun.

Muting thread.

They will not change Mystery Heroes.

Argue if you want, but your only chance of getting something different is asking for a 2nd mode or an experimental.

The principal of the mode is not even about winning. It is about the mechanic of fully random heroes.

I believe the only mode where the objective is not to win is skirmish? Maybe I’m not reading that right. But I don’t recall any wording of “truly random all the time” anywhere in the mode description, so maybe that’s just on me.

But RNG isn’t a flaw if it is a core mechanic.

Ever play TF2? Ever hear of a map called hightower or 2fort? The objective exists in those maps.

Do you know why people play those maps? Because of the novelty of death matching.

People kick other players for trying to cap. Because the map ends to fast and they don’t get to fully enjoy the novelty if its over to soon.

Having objectives exist does not equate to why a mode is played. Can you choose to play the objective in MH? Sure! But the objective is not what draws people to the mode.

TF2 doesn’t suffer from the same team based issues that come with multiple people picking the same class, and even then, some servers DO restrict the number of a particular class being picked, like spies or snipers. I played TF2 for years and its randomizer servers are 10000% better than Overwatch’s MH.

Then why aren’t you playing that instead of trying to change something others enjoy?

like i said…tell that to no limits in qp…tell it to the lack of lfg/rq in comp for 2 years…tell it to the myriad of issues with the SR/MMR system…

core features are not without faults…

Why aren’t you? Do you think they would make a change like this to MH and not keep classic around? They did it with Quickplay, and they’d be dumb not to do it with MH.

Because I like MH better then TF2 randomizer? Which clearly you don’t. So why aren’t you playing the clearly superior tf2 randomizer?

What makes you think I don’t like MH? Its literally the only mode that isnt trash. The only problem with it, is that the devs treat it like a joke mode. And people like you treat it like a joke mode.

Its not a joke mode.

There is a distinct difference between balancing the core concept of the MAIN game and that of a novelty side grade that is not intended to b me a balanced experience.

Balancing mode made for balance makes sense. Balancing a mode made for chaos does not.

You said you liked randomizer more.

What sense does it make to play a mode you like less then another available option?

I like steak doesn’t mean I eat it every day.

If you chose to leave, then you chose to take whatever punishment came with it.
YOU are the one who decides to leave or do something that is directly breaking the rules.
If you decided to carry on with those behaviors, you can only blame yourself for getting in trouble.

So why complain that pizza does not taste like steak when you chose pizza?
