I will report you. This happens so often. I would instant ban these players
$10 says you were standing next to a Mega when that happened.
i would insta-ban every tank and dps that spams âheal meâ when standing within 3 meters of a health pack.
you owe me $10 the amount of support that dont heal and just dps says it all. Support can heal its part of the role. I play role mode for a reason. If im playing support i support but if im dpsing i expect support to do their role
It is called support and not a heal bot. If you donât add value to the team the support will probably prioritize your teammates. Losing a bad dps is more manageable than losing a good one.
I agree. Like Kiriko can do crazy headshots, if you never do that, you are missing value and you are a total healbot.
Once I was called out as Rein as a Shield Bot, because I was shielding to much. You think you need to do that, because you have a shield and you are a tank right, but to much shielding, is no good. You need to be aggresive sometimes with Reinhardt and sweep your hammer like crazy and do some value. Same with healers. Sometimes, you need to do some damage or just finish off that low target.
They probably were and you were just being annoying so they ignored you.
Play round health packs and win the game.
I once had a game where a widow kept spamming the âi need healingâ. I checked, they were standing next to a mega pack and ignored her because people on the point needed attention.
After a while they started screaming in voice for healing. Outright screaming, this adult man started screeching for heals, while standing afk next to a mega pack.
It would have taken him a second to walk to the pack and a second to get back in position, while the rest of the team brawling on the point demanded all the heals.
Instead, the widow stood basically afk for several seconds before getting disruptive in voicechat.
Itâs tough because sometimes you have supports that only heal their pre-made friends or the tank, and other times you have that DPS that you gave all 3 repair packs to and they still lost the 1v1 against an unsupported enemy and they try and blame you, when from your point of view it looks like they must have been holding their mouse and keyboard with their feet.
cry lol. Im not a healbot,Im a Support
I was not aware that emoting at people who ask for healing was commonâŚexcept for you apparently. Might it actually have something to do with your attitude rather than the supports?
Like if you die, are you one of those that is always in in chat spamming something like âHEALS!â or âHEAL ME!â even if the situation you died in was either unavoidable(Itâs SO fun getting spammed for heals when by a teammate who dies to Widow headshot), you were out of position well out of support LOS or range, you were behind the support so they didnât see you in time, or you just died despite doing everything rightâŚwhich you know happens a lot in this game and has nothing to do with how good supports are healing you or not.
and yet you demand being kept immortal by supports somehow.
If healers refuse to heal then I refuse to do damage. Im fine with losing if thats what my teammates want. Ranking up or down is 90% dependant on the matchmaker anyway.
Itâs not that deep ig. This person was just having a little too much fun.
When that happens I usually ping the mega (for educational purposes)
Just for a bit of context what healer was it
In my extended visit to gold I saw a brig off angle by them selves.
Itâs the lack of faith in people I play near health packs.
youâll eventually catch a ban, and the supports wonât, because you going afk is a real, reportable thing, but you being deprioritized by support is not, or more likely you just throwing a fit because youâre not being hard pocketed through questionable descisions.
I am talking about a context similar to the one in the title. Staring at you and emoting when you ask for heals is a blatant throw. I have already thrown many games in such situations and never been banned. And I would care less about getting one now than ever. But as long as none of my teammates are being overly toxic and/or also clearly throwing I would never purposely throw a game.
Like I responded to OP above. Why would a support do that unless someone is unfairly placing blame on supports for not keeping them alive in situations that are their own doing and supports couldnât even help to begin with, or if they could, theyâd be putting themselves at risk of dying.
That kind of anti-teamwork behavior from people must have to do with bad attitude that supports are receiving more than anything else.
Dying is part of the game, they have more than one teammates to keep alive than the one with bad attitude, supports are also only human, they make mistakes so itâs not really surprising if they give bad attitude back if someone is playing the blame game because they got caught out on, for example your main Ball(which is self sufficient to begin with and should not be relying heavily on supports anyways),a flanker who went in too deep or a recklessly charging Rein.
not supporting at all makes a good dps bad.
You are projecting here. Blaming teammates is not a direct act of throwing, while refusing to heal is.
I play all roles and my play has been criticized on all of them. But the most common abuse by far comes when playing tank, and âgg tank diffâ is basically a meme at this point. This is pretty much a consensus take. Supports are by no means an exception in this regard.
Absolutely. But again there is a difference between blaming someone and outright throwing. One can lead to the other, but there is a clear line that is crossed once you refuse to contribute to helping your team win as a result. Playing poorly or making mistakes with good intentions is also not throwing.
cool story. thats griefing and not cool
as soon as your stop trying that is throwing. Of course there are different degrees but in a competitive game its you give it your all or not play competiitve mode
