I want to have my cirrent console and pc accounts be seperate and not merged togeather. Simple enough, make a new battle.net account and link my console account to that account. But, if i want to merge that account with my oc account after the fact will i be able to? Like if i merge a cinsole account with a battle.net account, can i merge that account with a different battle.net account later?
Once you remove a linked account from your battle.net account, you will start a one year waiting period before you can link a new account. And even if you do wait a year to then link the oc account, the cosmetics will not transfer between accounts at that point. So as long as you don’t care about sharing cosmetics, yes it’s doable but with long waiting periods.
Yeah, you can only merge two accounts once with data, time spent, statistics, cosmetics, etc.
Otherwise you can link an account once a year. But the account linked would be a mirror of the battle.net account.
I know the system is setup to crossplay with PC and consoles and the data is only going to be from one system at a time.
But they didn’t want people linking more than 2 accounts together to combine the account’s data (again, cosmetics, stats, etc).

So to confirm, if I unlink an account from a battle.net account, I’ll have to wajt a year to link it back. And if i link that console to a different battle.net account, then if i merge that account with the original account, it won’t transfer any cosmetics?

Correct, because the transfer of cosmetics will only work if you merge accounts BEFORE OW2 comes out. If you merge after it won’t work.
