Then why is it that almost every game that I pick her I’m just immediately yelled at and told to switch even if Brigitte would work with the comp??? I’m not even trying to be rude, I’m just so confused as to why I read about so many posts about how Brigitte is super strong but in all of my games I’m told I shouldn’t play brig even at the beginning of games. And I’m in high masters; close to grandmaster for support and I hear about how Brigitte is super strong in grandmasters yet… she’s so hated up here. I just don’t understand tbh

Edit: If it would work in the comp, everything would be fine. But Brigitte can quickly become the dead weight of the team when played incorrectly. Also, you can definitely feel all those nerfs on Brigitte.

Brigittes strength relies a lot on her team mates working with her to capitalize on her strengths and required a degree of experienced coordination.
Ie: Your team mates yell at you, because they’re bad working with her / you

I get yelled to play Brig too sometimes. While enemy Doom seem invincible, at least i try to bash him or whip him away. But sure, double main heals on choke are gonna get us through /s

People don’t like heroes that aren’t super consistent. I mean I enjoy playing Sombra but I don’t play her in comp because if we start to lose then people are always going to start blaming the off-meta pick instead of themselves.

Because the Hate Brig bandwagon existed, and therefore no matter what they do with her the guys in this community that are the worst of the worst will never forget it. That’s it. That’s all you need to understand.
They could literally turn her into an identical copy of Echo and you’d still be hearing people whine about how unfair her kit is, while not mentioning a single peep about Echo herself.
That’s how internet bandwagons happen; it doesn’t matter how right they are or aren’t, or how stupid their observations are, or how patently and clearly untrue - get a boatload of idiots to start parroting out things about how Unfair she is or whatever and that’s all it seems to take.
Funny enough that it never seems to actually stick when it’s male characters like Hanzo and Doomfist, people have very short memories of those Bandwagons, but Sym, Mercy’s mass res, Brigitta? those are apparently forever and always just ‘bad’.

I once had taken Bastion in QP on a new account and hit a masters level QP game… yeah, I was surprised how many Diamonds just charged blindly.

It’s because the narrative has been pushed far enough to where even when Brigitte is at her weakest, idiots still claim that she’s powerful.

Many players are ignorant to the fact that Brigitte is good, either because they’ve been told she’s bad, or they have teammates who don’t know how to play her.

brig is very underrated rn by everyone she has alot of power in her and the main reason people think she is trash is because 90% of the times when people pick her they’re trash at her so it looks like the character is trash when she’s not if you practice and research how to play her and the mistakes people make on her youll climb 100% i did that and i one tricked this 2-2-2 version of brig from gold the grandmasters i believe you can also do it and i recommend you do it

She. Sucks.
She is melee based support that can’t melee. She can’t keep flankers in check. She dies the most in game. SHE IS GARBAGE.

I like playing brig a lot and when she’s good she’s great, but she is still situational. Brig does not work in every comp or playstyle.
