If a hero is to be OP, let it be a high skill hero

Okay I just want to get this message across. If Blizzard wants to make a hero that completely defines the meta, changes the game radically, etc… please let it be a high skill hero and not a low skill hero.

I want to see more heroes like Ana. S2 Ana was the best support hero defined meta imo, because Ana actually took skill. Sure, she was too strong in S2, but she still had to outplay you in most cases to get the kill and to win games

When you make a low skill hero that people can pick up and go in to a ranked game with 15 minutes on the hero and carry their match, that’s a problem.

If a hero is going to be overpowered, let it be overpowered through hundreds of hours of practice and dedication to the hero (high skill ceiling), not by making it utterly unstoppable.

You mean like Sombra, where while unplayable people can claim she’s just ‘high skill’?

What’s the point?

Pretty sure this ‘‘OP hero’’ was Tracer.

But Plats/Golds cried, because they literally didn’t know how to either aim, or switch to Moira, or ask for peels, or admit they simply got outplayed.

I really wish they fixed her Hack bugs

Her and Doomfist are gonna be receiving buffs soon. Jeff said hes not completely satisfied with the balance of these two heroes.

That was literally a month ago, there’s been 3 PTRs since then.

Well widowmaker currently is that

Sorry, I meant for future heroes, not current ones. Like if they add another hero or do a huge rework on one to shake up the meta again in the future, let it be a high skill one.

Yeah, he mentioned it in an interview midway last month. However, he never said when they’d get around to them: he just mentioned they want to get around to them eventually and help improve their pickrates.

I’m hoping it’s sometime within the next month or so.

Older F tier heroes have priority I guess.

Sym mains, had to wait for a while and are still waiting. They’re next in line, then I believe its Sombra and Doomfist. Nothing we can do apart from give ideas and wait.

Yes, a great widow will never lose a game.

Trust me.

I agree with this. No more Brigettes. Long run these heroes are boring to play anyway.

Yeah Im pretty sure they’ll be looked at after Symms rework. OR at the very latest, after Torbs rework.

I want to see Ana be overpowered to be honest. She requires the highest amount of skill and awareness and positioning of any character in this game.

Of any character, the amount of risk she is to pick and play deserves a massive amount of reward.

Same! She’s been so bad for so long, it’s time she gets a chance to shine!

As plat beating tracer is easy as d va. Tracer use recall way to early in plat. Granted in high tanks tracer aren’t playing this bad.

Looks at the supports who define meta low skill mercy. Brigritta. Lucio. Moira would count but she never been the best support. High skill ana and zen. All of the supports have definded the meta in at least one season.

I mean, I’d honestly prefer no single hero define the meta… but if it is going to happen, let it be someone like Ana who takes a lot of skill.

I don’t think it’s good for the game to have one hero be dominant.

lmao it didnt take skill to hit 3 tanks with your grenade and shoot them 2 times each so theyre at full health

Or maybe, just maybe, no hero should be OP and game should be balanced?

I remember time when higher skilled heroes like McCree and Ana were OP. Contrary to popular belief, it honestly wasn’t fun at all.
