If a hero is "easy to play" or "requires no skill"

Why not just climb to GM with them?

Those heroes can win the game most of the time. Right? The player behind them also must be irrelevant in terms of gameplay. “No skill” heroes are usually “low risk high reward”. So let’s climb to GM with them

“But I don’t main them.” Maining a low skill hero doesn’t even take time. All you need is basic game-sense (e.g. timing, moving, etc.)

Tell me if I’m wrong, but if a hero requires no skill, climbing to GM with them shouldn’t be a problem :stuck_out_tongue:

(I’m just joking)

Why not climb to GM with them?

1-What’s the point?
2-Why climb to GM with a hero I don’t have fun with?
3-Why even play comp in the 1st place? that game mode is a toxic hell hole

When people are talking about how easy something is, they’re referring to the skill floor, not the ceiling.

Because talking is easier. Doing it on the other hand…

no way this isn’t a bastion main that is tired of both salty team mates and enemy’s telling them to leave LUL

Bold of you to assume I play Bastion

To prove they are low skill with high reward. (I guess so tho)

Idk. Most players who want to climb to GM, are usually forced to play heroes they don’t have fun with.

That’s true. But it’s the only competitive side of the game.

Easy to play =/= easy to climb with

Also I think you can get to GM on any hero

Climbing to GM is not easy on any hero.

I think the only exceptions were Brigitte and performance based Mercy.

This is the correct answer. It’s why Samito wasn’t wrong in that Moira’s aim is forgiving (it is) , but he looked like a complete fool when he claimed that it meant anyone can climb with her after he got hardstuck at Master one-tricking her. He just wasn’t good enough at the hero to progress further.

Yet…This also makes the term “easy to play” completely meaningless as it doesn’t address how consistent/difficult heroes are to win with in a given situation.

It’s just a distraction from the actual point of balance.

Totally, heroes shouldn’t be nerfed because “they’re easy.”

Careful, that’s crazy talk to some around here…

Angry high-skilled hero mains incoming

Tbh, genji is my most played hero and I’ve never had an issue with moira.

That’s interesting. Most Genji mains despise beam heroes (Moira especially).

I mean it’s great you don’t have issue with Moira. I just found it odd.

This post kinda reminds me of a well written quote said by Toast in a thread I made a few months ago.

I couldn’t of said it any better myself.

Stop making me use all of my likes

Absolutely. Simply being easy to play shouldn’t ever be grounds for a nerf. However, if an ‘easy to play’ hero is dominating the meta, one of the simplest ways of nerfing said hero would be to raise the skill floor slightly. It’s not the only way, of course.

I’ll just say if there are 1000 brig mains, there can still only be top 500.
