Idea for Overwatch 2: Spy from TF2 because I hate everyone

Not gonna waste my time with an intro. Let’s get right into this.

Base Health: 150

Passive: Domination. Whenever spy kills somebody four times in a row without dying to them (can die to other people, but the target cannot assist in his death), he starts trash-talking them.

Primary Fire: Ambassador
Fires a 41 damage round with more severe falloff than McCree. However, when landing a headshot, falloff is removed and spy deals a flat 102 damage headshot. However, every shot has a cooldown period to be able to land headshots, and shots fired in this time period have random spread. Fire rate is 1 shot every 0.9 seconds. Cooldown for headshot is 1.5 seconds.

Melee: Big Earner
Spy’s melee deals reduced damage, but if attacking from the back, instantly kills the enemy. On a backstab kill, Spy gains a speed boost for five seconds.

Alt Fire: Dead Ringer
Spy, upon taking any damage while casting Dead Ringer, resists 75 percent of the hit, cleanses all debuffs, and fakes his death, going invisible and dropping a fake body, gaining a speed boost for 4 seconds. Invisibility can be cancelled at any time, but it is on a resource. A full charge of Dead Ringer takes 15 seconds to recharge.

Ability 1: Sapper
Spy can sap an enemy’s electronics or deployables. When sapped, an enemy’s mobility abilities or the deployables are disabled. Deployables are slowly destroyed over time. Spy needs to be in melee range to use this. Has a cooldown of 6 seconds. A sapper can be removed by being hit by a melee attack (a teammate needs to melee the ally to remove the sapper from them).

Ability 2: Disguise Kit.
Spy can disguise as any enemy or ally at any time and gains immunity to knock backs. However, the disguise is removed when he is stunned or slept. There is no cooldown to this ability. He can also be effected by burns and anti to spycheck.

Ultimate: Diamondback
Spy pulls out a second revolver with 6 stored critical hits. He can fire them off dealing a full 102 damage per hit. He can indefinitely hold this weapon, but ultimate charge cannot be earned until he has used all six bullets.

Yes, I created a class specifically meant to grief lol.

Yikes! Way to power creep Sombra! No one would ever pick her again—not even Fitzy!

Sombra is just lesser Spy. :eye::lips::eye:

Why wouldn’t you base it around the conniver’s kunai, instead of the ambassador? The ultimate troll device, you’re either an invincible god or hard feeding the entire game.

Because I love the Amby too much, even if it IS currently worse than Enforcer lol.

Honestly, the stock revolver is the only good one. Solid and reliable, even if it doesn’t have any meme gimmicks associated with it. Kritz cowboy is the funniest way to grief a team.

Let’ranger is better for knife spy, I would say. It’s spy’s only utility revolver, and the extra cloak really comes in handy, especially when running C&D against a paranoid enemy team.

I am glad that the devs dont look into those threads…

This community deserves to have an annoying Frenchman backstab them and laugh at them.

Not sure how useful the disguise kit/ability would be in Overwatch as opposed to TF2.

Probably more useful tbh. TF2 players, brainless as they are, are nothing like Overwatch players in how stupid they are.

That Mercy is a spy!!

Although I’m actually glad I don’t have to be constantly second-guessing my own teammates and worrying that someone is probably about to backstab me or have to keep turning around to see if anyone is behaving weirdly (Why is Pharah not flying around? When was the last time I saw her fly? Better shoot her and see!), nor being endlessly shot at or melee’d by my own teammates who think I might be the spy.

It’s been nearly a decade since I last picked up Team Fortress, and I remember the Spy couldn’t use the abilities of the class he disguised as, but imagine if he was allowed to disguise as the enemy Echo in a way that visually replicated the current state she was in, i.e., currently transformed to look like one of his own teammates. Would that result in a double agent??! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Honestly same lol. I have enough to worry about as-is. I don’t need to wonder whether the Mercy is a spy or walking over to pocket me lol.

As an engineer player

All spy players can rot in heck.

Man. There’s ample reason why Spy is so popular in TF2, and I think many people would share his appeal in OW as well.

As a support, having to spycheck would be a super interesting shift in gameplay.

Cringe

We all know pyro is superior

Only if they add the box-trot emote too.
