I'd rather play in PC lobbies as a Console player

Title.

Ximming on console has become such an atrocious issue that playing with GM pc players, (as a GM console player) feels more FAIR than playing in console lobbies. Its ridiculous.

Its gotten to the point where its weird if someone doesn’t use a Xim or Cronus, or something like that. I know there’s nothing that can be done from Blizzard’s end, at least what they’re willing to try, but some acknowledgement would be wonderful.

Or just let me play in PC lobbies.

Just buy one yourself lol. Easy fix .

It’s not quite that bad.

But yeah. In OW1 starting around 3k you would see around 1-2 XIMs a lobby. By Masters it was 2-3 per team (almost always the DPS).

GM is half the lobby.

I’ve complained about this for years and been gaslit for years by people on here over it.

Ironic seeing PC players now beginning to complain about “cross play XIMers”…

Ok maybe it’s not that bad, but boy does it feel like it.

Calling out the Ximming issue and anyone who uses it, is a hill I will die on.

then just turn on crossplay
Boom, you no longer are dealing with it

Not how that works.

Crossplay only works between console platforms unless there’s a PC player in the lobby., which then it will be the PC pool.

Let them eat cake, I hope more ximmers in crossplay plague their pc games. It was a problem on console for years and still is and no one cared then.

Now all of sudden it’s not so much fun or such a minor deal anymore is it?

I echo your same thoughts exactly.

it’s not even that. how has it never occurred to you that there are controller players who are better with controller than there are, some pc players who are better with kbam. which is precisely why you feel comfortable in pc lobbies using controller. it comes down to whoever is more in tuned with their particular input device. as in, hours used, game hours played. besides, most of your losses were likely due to rigging anyhow. but matches are also rigged in your favor.

Are you saying that playing mnk with aim assist on console is OK?

Hello my fellow console player.
As for some of y’all I don’t think y’all even realize what your saying, like your saying “words” in the context of them making sense or seeming like y’all know something… This happens a lot of people who haven’t experienced said thing or don’t have all the information (but try and sound like they do)… Not trying to be a d*** about it but Y’all are legitmeatly just saying words with no well anything really…

They’re complaining about a literal sandbag.

It’s advantageous on console for obvious reasons, but it doesn’t hold a candle to native KBM.

No, XIM is an advantage over native m+kb on PC too. Every top leaderboard in shooters with cross play(or even just cross input with AA) that doesn’t ban XIM is filled with them.

Keep in mind that XIM has been around way longer than OW has.

I know and completely understand what a XIM is, but can somebody please explain to me what a Cronus is? I have heard the name a few times before, and have gathered that it is a device that somehow gives you an unfair advantage, but I don’t know what it is exactly or how it works. I guess that’s because I’m a PC only player. Haven’t owned a console since like the original Xbox.

Speaking anecdotally here, but having tried it back during OW1 on a friend’s console, it clearly offered an advantage on console over controller players.

But as a native KBM player it was absolutely hindered by input lag and limited setting functionality. Even more so when AA was turned on. Trying to fight the tug through the settings and input lag wasn’t fun or productive, at least in OW1.

As far as leaderboards go, I’m not sure how to interpret the results especially not knowing specifically what determines leaderboard status.

It’s a script pack that is meant to counteract vertical recoil.

It’s capable of doing more than that, but for the most part it merely centers the crosshair for sustained accurate fire.

At least I think it is.

This is anecdotal and something you just needed to get used to. Once you get used to it, it provides a huge advantage.

The input lag is kinda bad, but aim assist on m+ kb makes up for it a hundredfold.

Wow, I can see how that could be a crazy advantage in certain games, and even on a few select heroes in Overwatch. Thanks for the explanation!

There is also having the max sensitivity of a controller on it since your limited to controller settings since obviously the game dosent know its a mnk

If you’re using an office mouse or a non gaming mouse maybe, but most gaming mice have super high max dpi

It allows you to download “scripts” meaning cheats can take many different forms. But it can only do scripts that are already in game so no you technically can’t walk hack or aim bot.

You could add even more aim assist, disable recoil basically stabilizing your aim and leaning so far into aim assist it might as be aimbot.
