It had it’s own PvP mode to let you edit the hero abilities… Which could probably only be on the OW2 version.
I don’t think it could be like a ranking competitive mode, but I’d love to play the hell out of some QP sorta stuff where heroes abilities could be changed. However, it might end up making things where you’d have to lock the character you pick (at least per round).
One of the Smash Bros games had something like this where you could edit variations of specials, but it only existed in a particular game mode, which I always felt was a huge missed opportunity to really play the game. I’d really hate to see a similar thing with OW2.
Personally, I’d love this if it also had the previous abilities in it. Let us get mass res and sym 2.0 back (I know there are some hacky workarounds trying to recreate mass res and such, but they are still just hacky workarounds)
This idea would cut the OW community in half. Half the playerbase will move onto the cool new OW with cool new abilities, and the other half will be stubborn and stay in the original game. We aren’t exactly thriving (look at the queue times) and halving the playerbase would theoretically double queue times.
About mass res etc or ?
I mean you just select mass res in a drop down for Mercy’s ult etc
Right now there are workshop games where they have these wild trigger systems to bring everyone back, and I think kill Mercy and bring her back with ult meter set to 0. Something like that, it was wonky.
I have no clue what you’re talking about. People insist on playing competitive. This would probably be too unbalanced to play exist in a competitive scene or anywhere outside of laughs and kicks.
I also think that’s the beauty of it though. It’s a really smart move. Currently, I highly doubt I’d buy OW2 on release, and I actually really appreciate it that wanting to just stick to playing QP isn’t going to impede that decision.
Still, things to tinker with, that always draws my attention.
Did it really? I thought it was only for like it’s PvE quest mode thing. Could you actually go and battle friends and such with the changes?
I just thought it was the coolest thing ever in Smash and could have added so much more depth to enjoying the game among friends… I mostly just remember Mega Man had some really cool alt moves.
But, it didn’t really, so again. I just felt like it was a hugely missed opportunity, and I kinda don’t want to see OW do the same thing.
