If Blizzard were to offer Lucio Ball year round for $20 (heck I’d pay $40 but lets not price everyone out of this) I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Honestly I feel they should at least offer it in custom games server browser year round. They wouldn’t have to support a queue for it, and its not like there are AI units to take up server resources like with Retribution or Uprising.

I suggest to try Rocket League.

You know, the actual game it’s based off is much deeper gameplay wise/more enjoyable than whatever lucioball is IMO, so if you really must have your hit-ball-in-goal thrills, I’d suggest giving it a go.
I really don’t think lucioball is capable of maintaining an acceptable playerbase if they were to release it standalone, and neither do I think they want to put in the effort to fix bugs related to it.
But hey, I could be wrong.
Perhaps it IS a good idea.

Please, no. Lucio ball is terrible compared to Rocket League (the game Lucio ball is ripped from if you didn’t know).
I do agree that it should be a possibility in the arcade browser, but that would mean they can’t reuse it and have to put in effort for the next time summer games rolls around.
Personally I’d love to see some mode a la lucioball but with volleyball, having roadhog boop the ball with his belly or smthn like that ^^
Even better, have roadhog BE the ball
You really want to buy a game which has only one mode, and that even has broken hitscan
I played Rocket League. A lot. I liked it. But I like Lucio Ball better.

I mean they should at least put the mode and maps in the workshop. I would personally buy the standalone lucioball game
Idk why you say that. The names are different, there is no boop or punch in rocket league, no ultimate, no bounce pads. Speed in lucioball is gained by amp ability on cool down and wall riding while RL boost is gained with packs. The movement in RL is based on how a car would drive with turning radius while lucioball is free movement. I would say both games have their own spin on the sport of soccer. For the enclosed arena there have been multiple soccer games that have had that, the main one that comes to mind is Mario Strikers Charged (great game btw).
