I wish mercys mains did this more often

even in high elo i see this.

they give up, don’t damage boost even even the hero is full hp they will still heal instead of damage boosting and of course no pistaling.

you have a pistal use it and atleast get some ult charge before you die.

see i don’t mind mercy 1 tricks at all but om, i feel like mercy is the defenition of boosted/hard carried.

you can legit be top 500 and never played mercy in your life.

yes the hero could be played at a high peak skill celling but nothing triggers me more than those mercy mains and duo with a dps and only pocket them or they only press m1 the whole game with out movement or any way of skill.

i really wish they nerfed mercy and made her more skill based so high elo is not filled with them every game.

again idc and don’t mind but i remember i would legit play with a mercy like every single game in comp and abuse the low skill hero but do nothing.

i main high skill teir heroes so i love showing my skill aka ball/hitscan and ana.

if the hero is mechanics and aim based i love it but hold m1 and flying and super jumping or pocking the smurf/dps carry is the most boring playstyle in the world and is just sad that high elo is 99% low skill hero mains and now high skill hero mains.

like i said idc if people play mercy but if your high elo and still m1ing and not using your other buttons like m2 and shift or whatever you legit ruin the game.

it hurts me that you legit can be a decent high skill hero and be in diamond but get out ranked by a low skill top 500 m1ing mercy main cause they got boosted by smurfs or who ever idk.

like i said i know there are a lot of very high skill mercy mains and i love watching them but there are just so many boosted mains too and it annoys me that the hero has not be reworked to counter smurfs.

like dps smurfs always duo with a mercy main to hard pocket them and its so tilting. qp or comp.

mercy really needs a dam boost rework its too annoying.

(i love mercy but man i really hate how some people play her so poorly, you legit just have to m1 and 2 thats the basic not only m1)

Last I checked, boosting was at an all time low, like i saw something like 40$ for gm boost or something idk lol, also diamond-low masters is the worst rank in the game change my mind lol, there is so many boosted players lol.

Honestly OP, it’s unrealistic to demand a hero get reworked just because some people don’t know how to play them. With that logic every hero should be in a constant state of development because Bronze players exist.

I’ve went through extremely low Bronze to 3100+ Diamond, and oh my God if this isn’t true! 3100 may seem very far off from Masters for anyone in the US servers, but the Australian server is so tiny that the games were usually mixed like that. Worst quality games ever, and that’s if there wasn’t at least one Gold slapped in somewhere because that’s obviously a fair match-up! :v: :grimacing:

not using damage boost doesnt mean that shes being poorly played. My friend is an only heal mercy main with over 3k hours on her and played since beta, does that make her play poorly? no.

I have over 100 hours on her and I’m stuck in high gold so idk I think you could do this but not all the way to t500

Its just not as optimized and arguably the optimization is not as important depending upon how much a person things damage boost is of good value. If you look at top 500 mercy players they are getting 1000-2000 dmg bst per 10minutes and around 9000-10000 healing per 10 minutes. That’s a much higher concentration of healing than damage.

1000-2000 dmg bst per 10 minutes is akin to the like 4000+ dmg that literally every other support does on top of hitting close to 10k healing from Ana/Moira/Baptiste. Some are even doing 6k dmg/10 minutes. How important is damage boost really compared to these numbers?

Damage boost no longer helps Ashe hit a 1HKO break point and mercy doesn’t really help any character hit a 1HKO break point except make a combo piece more reliable. Roadhog can probably more reliably combo 250 hp heroes than otherwise by not needing to hit a perfect headshot and some other combos.

In the end, its still more ideal to use damage boost rather than preempt healing on someone when full or possibly use pistol when a good situation arises and will help. Though Mercy’s kit very much discourages pistol swapping due to the 2sec penalty on heal -> atk -> heal and dmg bst’s contribution while better than doing nothing is still very low.

ive watched tons of mercy guides, know exactly what to do but im still stuck in bronze so idk why people keep saying “pick mercy and pocket a dps youll get to GM” and stuff

my friend just hates damage boost because she believes that healing should be more prioritized then damage boost, from time to time she does damage boost but only like during coalesence or something.

It’s literally an argument from ignorance. They perceive her this way and so they assume that’s how she is. They don’t want to play her, but it somehow makes them feel better to claim that anyone could go all the way to T500 with her easily without trying… ignoring that Mercy is one of the most popular heroes and is not filling up the T500 rankings… I WONDER WHY? xD

It’s not because your not good what happens is when you don’t climb out of a rank during next placements even if you win all games a have really high statistics it will base off your last ranks in last seasons
