There’s playing the regular way just healing and shooting sometimes.
There’s playmaking (his primary carry)
There’s flanking
Then there’s “Teammate reliant” weird things like your Mercy damage boosting you or ana nanoing you but most people usually don’t trust a weaver enough to do that (my friend has done it a grand total of twice both times were a success), and comboing the ult with things like rally and orbital ray to try and go for a free fight win.
He’s also very good at “Keeping” momentum the problem is getting it.
There’s just endless choke spamming and locking down areas.
As well as how good you counter certain heros and there ultimates (this is a purely reacttive thing).
It’s rare but there are games where I just get “Stuck” but wish I could get the same kills as Baptiste and Illari but I still need Lifeweavers kit to get certain things done.
Another way I’ve found is try and seal people into a certain area with tree of life buuuttt that takes to long.
I can’t think of a way to like haaaarrrrdd carry a game with Weaver, Im talking your team is absolute dog water, like you wish you could just go reaper yourself and start deleting people.
Lifeweaver is still a flawed character design. The dependance on weapon swapping is still a problem. He needs to be able to apply damage more frequently to provide active benefit to his team. As the rest of his kit is reactive or situational, so being able to provide more active benefit is key.
I find LW weird, every time hes in game he ults every 30s and pump out insane amount of heals. He HAS to die first or nothing will die, So in this case hes allways the carry

I want people to be saying “Oh I found the smurf” or like I want to beat the smurf as Lifeweaver (which well I can) but more like how Tracer seems to always always have “Something” she can do at some point somewhere or Bap thats what I want.
I can’t lie, Lifeweavers (or at least, the ones I’ve been playing with) have really stepped up their life grip game. They’ve had some great saves on me recently, and then there is the occasional pull to help me get back into the fight quicker from spawn which is always appreciated.
Lifeweaver isn’t weak. You just have to put in 10 times the work that you would with other supports to get the same value. I surprise a lot of people with the value I can get out of him, and I’m not great with him.
I am losing a lot of games I shouldn’t just based off that damn dash nerf alone hmmm maybe I should call for healing more.
Oh yeah and also out of coms, Im tryna help Star even more cause me Im usually in VC which adds like a 5%+ to my win rate but they don’t use it soooo there a bit more disadvantaged, coming up with like a New idea would help me (only slightly) and her.
Not sure if this what you’re asking, but finding more people to play with would help. When I’m with randos, a lot will swap to characters they’re useless with until they see the value I’m providing. Then they’re start trying to win.
Playing with a full team who understands Lifeweaver and his value might help.

Everyone, do you see where all this constant perpetuation of this “hurr hurr press H” narrative gets us? We have people giving up at hero select before they even see what we as players can do. Just because they see that we’re on Weaver. When we lose because of situations like that, it’s not our fault. It’s moreso the fault of the people indiscriminately spreading this idea of Weaver being a tHrOw PiCk no matter what we say, ignoring our success
The only thing I can come up with at the moment is something to do with the ping system. Trying to find some way to push pings to their limit, figuring out combinations that are effective at conveying more complex ideas. Or even a specific single ping being used at a certain moment where its intention ends up being clear
One habit I’ve gotten into more recently is using “watching here” when I’m pushing the payload, sometimes paired with “come to me for healing”. Repeating as necessary when I see people getting into trouble out of LoS and I’m the only one on cart
A more complex situation: Another time, quite a while back, I was in the process of sneaking around and going to flank as Weaver. For some reason our Moira walked towards me like she wanted to accompany me. I pinged a location back towards my team, followed by “go”. She responded with “understood” and returned to them. And this was in QP
