Dogs are loyal and work in the line of duty as a profession.
I would love to see what the Overwatch universe has to show,
for a futuristic canine.
No genetic mods like winston or hammond just a glimse of what a dog can be in the future trained to support hero’s.

It would be cool to see, if Okami, Tenebrae, Nanaki, and Repede are of any indication a K-9 hero would definitely be a sight to behold.
Though I’d imagine programming him would be a nightmare, wonder what he would be gameplay wise.
I want the next hero to be functional balance changing to existing heroes.
Blizzard add a new class to WoW roughly every 4 years and they still can’t balance at all. They’ve always been terrible at it and afaik most of the Overwatch team are ex WoW sooo…yeeeaaaah.
They could add no heroes for 4 years and the balance would still be awful, being my point.
Not till we get our Cat, but yes MORE animals.
Brigitte and Wrecking Ball made big changes to Overwatch, and while they are fun to play, they seem to make the game a little less fun. Let’s hope the next hero won’t be like that.
A binturong would be better; Prehensile tail and smells like cornbread.
Orisa has the puppy emote, Brigitte needs a jetpack cat emote, and a dog hero could be cool too, maybe a Samurai Shodown Galford thing could work out or something.

though im leaning toward jpn mytho with the fox because then you dont have to explain much of anything about sentience

It would probably be like scent trackking and the scent fades away after X amount of time.
A ability that pins the enemy for X time so your teammates can catch up to them.
Speed thats equal to or greater than soldier 76 maybe.
