We don’t have a Hit-Scan Tank, except for Wrecking Ball.
I shouldn’t need to tell you that Wrecking Ball isn’t meant to be played like a Hit-Scan…
I want to Reliably Kill Pharah, without having to Body Block with my entire Face as D.Va.

DPS player would cry, but I agree. Let us have a hitscan tank. When the DPS are stupid again and pick Sym and Junk vs Pharah, let Mauga be a better option than Dva.

Yeah, the DPS can play Mei and Bastion (basically Tanks) and the Tank can play Mauga (basically a DPS while Roadhog is still Trash).

I don’t think you are ever going to get a tank with long range dmg. Their whole thing is only being a threat up close.

Well we have Orisa and Ramattra.
Plus a Tank’s whole thing is making Space. A Sniper Tank would probably be best at doing this, but:
- Blizzard is too Cowardly to make a Sniper Tank.
- Imagine having 1 Tank and that Tank is a Sniper. That’d almost be as stupid as making Wrecking Ball a Solo Tank!

Neither of those are good at long range. If the target is standing still then sure ram can do a good amount. Orisa on the other hand has quite a bit of falloff. Tanks are generally only threatening with around 20m. I doubt we will be getting a tank killing a pharah sitting at like 30m or more away.
i want mauga to be. he has spent so much time not being that we need him to just be anything at this point
It certainly has been the trend. We used to have Orisa with significant long range poke damage, but for OW2 they changed her to be a strange projectile hero with a fall off. Ugh… what?
well if you believe leaks…hes at least got guns…but given theyre gatlin guns i doubt itll be hit scan

A hitscan tank that can reliably kill pharah would be so destructive to the health of the game that I can’t imagine anything worse lol.

The description of his kit says it’s for close-range, I doubt he’ll have the range to pick off Pharah even if he is hitscan.
Yeah I don’t think people are really thinking things through when they talk about a hitscan tank
There’s a reason soldier 76 doesn’t have 400 hp…

Let’s be real. If he gets those guns we’ve seen him have it’ll be like fighting tank bastion. Which sounds awful.
Old orisa did have some okay spam dmg at range, but without it being used on a halted target, its not like she was much of a threat. Its nothing like what the OP wants, with a hitscan that can actually do good dmg at longer ranges.

Right. A big spread would make sense. But he’s gonna go Rambo way way too often. And not even in a high killing way. Just imagining what his fantasy would be. Which is just Dva levels of f bullets being shot. I’m not really looking forward to him. But whatever. It’ll be what it’ll be.
