I used to play Mei

And I liked playing mei- before she was nerfed in OW2.

I won’t waste ur time with 5 paragraphs- it’s simple: mei’s freeze just isn’t fun to use anymore, and her icicle speed feels so slow.

I am a flex dps main most of the time
Really like to play echo, soja and mei

But i discovered the world of hitscans, and my life is a lot easier, just pick ashe/mcree/tracer and enjoy your rank climb

Rip Mei you will be missed

I enjoyed Mei back during OW1, but I’ve enjoyed her a lot more consistently in OW2. And she wasn’t nerfed, for the record (Maybe you’re just referring to fun there though, in which case sure)

It was more s9 that made me dislike playing Mei occasionally than anything. The more recent icicle buff may have pulled her win rate out of the gutter, but I just don’t enjoy playing her when her beam seems almost vestigal. With the global health buffs, the beam feels pretty darn ineffectual.

Which makes sense she feels that way. The trade off to losing freeze was 100dps beam that felt more impactful for just killing someone.

Then they buffed everyone’s health and her beam stayed the same, losing much of the value she gained from losing freeze. Who wants to be close range DPS with low damage?

I’ll still play her and enjoy her. But she’s definitely less effective than she used to be.

Oh no poor mei main cant use noskill freeze anymore

I hate how weak her wall feels. After S9 everyone got more HP but her wall stayed the same. So people escape from it more especially tanks.

They should give her back hard freeze on primary. The slowdown it does now is barely noticeable on anything but a tank who can’t block it.

I tried playing Mei. It feels like i get no value out of her. Her beam seems to do nothing. Her icicle is ok. Her wall is her only saving grace but if they have high dmg character. That is useless. Her ult does nothing thx to all the mobility heroes.

Shes top 4 dps picks in pro so… shes still pretty damn good.
