I think we should decide something about moira

Should she be an aim dependent hero or a non aim dependent hero?
I think moira should either be auto aim or not auto aim, not this weird in between.

Right now you kinda need aim, but not really enough to call it a decent skill. Like if your aim is half decent you can pretty much get 100% accuracy. But if you’re like casual or something you’re going to struggle, especially if you have a disability.
Thoughts?

Incoming shower thought: why not both?

Moira, like most characters, has just the one weapon. Now, normally changing weapons is something that’s very obvious like Torb switching from his rivet gun to his hammer or Mercy switching from staff to pistol, but it doesn’t have to be. Moira’s could have her do that neat animation where she taps her palms and boom, different weapon.

Weapon One (default): the current 50 DPS, 24 HPS beam
Weapon Two: a beam that does more than that, but requires skill.

Folks who like Moira’s current beam can use that, while others who find it rather anaemic also have something to play with.

No aim

She is " friendly " hero for new players - her kit is simple aka damage & healing while having kind of challenge with resourse meter

Not to mention she is supposed to counter mobile heroes, that is what auto lock primary for
kinda not auto lock after angle nerf

Honestly that looks like a good solution to me, but hackeds explanation makes sense also.

Basically I’d be happy with either solution :yum:

Oh it’s just 1 poster called LunaLove/Nayeon that flags me with their alts. Just ignore them lol.

They got rid of Sym’s lock on ages ago so I don’t see them giving her a lock-on beam. Tbh I think it’s fine as is as it harasses flankers/mobile heroes but is essentially worthless against Tanks/Barriers.

I think it could be interesting if it did more damage the better you can aim with it. Essentially the closer you have it to centre of mass/head it does a bit more damage/refills juice faster/self heals more/etc but make it a bit worse if you don’t have it properly on the enemy. Not saying make her Zarya or immortal of course, just enoug of a tweak to make her perform better the better you can aim but still reasonably functional even if you’re not that great :man_shrugging:t2:

People read the word disability and didn’t stop to think OP was being literal with the word and not insulting, how sad

Oh nobody was offended, this same guy just keeps stalking me and flagging all my posts with their alts.

If we are talking about her balls, I think they should be replaced bc they’re way too RNG

If we are talking about her succ, I think it’s fine; we don’t need Winston 2: electric boogaloo

Honestly I agree, her balls are pretty bad anyways so I think it’d help moira to give her something else.

What about making it more aim dependent, but upping its damage then?
I just don’t see the point in having this weird in between.

I dont actually mind what happens, I just dont see any point in having this in between.

That would be favorable imo, I love beam tracking heroes and we could always use more

I play a lot of supports but I actively avoid playing Moira bc her kit is just so rng, unengaging, not challenging, and has really bad feedback

like healing with her spray has awful sound/visual cues compared to other healers, it feels weird and floaty

True! And yeah I love beam tracking heroes as well if you couldn’t tell already
Though I did use to love auto aim sym, so I wouldn’t mind that coming back either!

What do you think would be a reasonable number for say… a zarya type beam? 80dps?
That being said, this number would depend on whether or not dmg orb stays. Orrr… whether her E ability gets reworked into something else which also does dmg.

In the interest of not copying other kits…Like zarya’s beam is stronger when ppl shoot her bubbles, Sym’s is stronger the longer you zap a target…

What if Moira’s was stronger the less resource you had or how much HP you healed within the last x seconds?

It would incentivize really using up your resources and healing your team, and discourage fulltime dps moiras as they’d be nerfing themselves by ignoring their healing duties

When you get low on resource, you could throw a healing orb then say “bye” and go to town on enemies (which would fill your resource up just like succ does)

I’m not sure what a good literal number would be for the max or min damage though. Maybe less than Sym’s values otherwise why ever pick sym when you can heal yourself with moira

Why does you know who keep flagging your posts? Seems weird tbh

I mean, even I know who that person is and that they flag people with alt accounts. You live on this forum so I’m surprised you don’t also know. :yum:

I like it! But… The thing that would be kinda weird is that you could just use all your healing and then go on a flank, seems a bit contradictory for a healer if you ask me  That would probably be the main playstyle for metal rank moira xD

Like the idea is not bad in general its just that ladder players will just dps moira 24/7.

But I do like where you’re coming from!!

How about a second resource meter? Maybe this fills up by doing healing. The more healing you’ve done, the more damage you will do?

Oh this guy basically has a history of doing so. They’re online right now even. Not sure why they’ve suddenly out of nowhere started flagging my posts but its fine honestly.

Oh I know who they are, it’s just that they began to do that with Genji mains first.

It seems odd that they are targeting Yourself

bih they haven’t even compensated her tightening nerf on her succ with more damage yet.

there’s 0 point in trying to even consider whether she should be more aim dependent or not when they don’t even try to apply her the same “higher value if harder to aim” principle as they’ve done with multiple other weapon fires to even make that consideration/question reasonable in the first place.

Not gonna lie, I’m enjoying it. My threads get way more attention these days
