I think Mei should get a buff to her wall

Bottom line is she’s not very good. She has the worst winrate and for a niche hero favored in defensive maps that screams she’s underperforming. She’s one of the heroes who benefits least from the dps passive. But I think what she really suffers from is her wall being less effective due to the hp increases. Everyone got at least +50 hp and tanks got 75-100 but her icewall remained at 250hp per pillar. This means the ttk for each hero has increased but for her wall remains the same? I’ve noticed in my games it’s easier for targets to escape after the wall is broken. I think her wall hp should be buffed by +50 to remain consistent with the hp changes.

I don’t think many people would like wall buffs, as they hate the hero. But wall does break real fast these days, especially when it only need to be one pillar and people can see which one is breaking.

I think this change just makes it more consistent with the overall season 9 changes. It’s not that her wall breaks faster. It breaks the same. It’s just the heroes caught have more hp so they can get away more often. If they just gave wall the same extra hp everyone else got then she’d feel more normal again.

I wasn’t implying that s9 increased how fast her wall breaks. It has been breaking fast all of ow2 since the pillars health is much lower than they once were.

S9 patch butchered Mei, similar to Junk

They are still ruining my girl.
Glad I got her a few new gigs outside the game.
One of them she can actually freeze enemies.

Just give her freeze back and reduce her m1 damage. Maybe reduce her health if it’s too good.

The main purpose of wall is blocking tanks off from their team.
There already isnt enough tank players, we dont need to make tanking more infuriating

healthier ways to buff mei would be icicle damage, icicle projectile speed, m1 damage, hp increase, or longer m1 range

Can I just get wall to like build a slide or staircase to get to the high ground.

Wonderful, so the tank playerbase is now keeping half the DPS role hostage because Rein/Dva mains might throw a hissy fit if Mei or Sym were above garbage tier.

And all because of flankers and hitscans wanted the eternal spotlight.

What if her wall had decaying health instead of a timer? That way it can have more initial health and a longer undamaged duration, but shooting it would help bring it down sooner even if you aren’t dealing the full amount. It’s currently 250 per pillar up to 5 seconds duration, so what about something like 600 health per pillar with -75 health per second?

IMO, make it so Mei can punch the wall and send it flying or sliding in whatever direction she punches it in. Or make it work with any hit from Mei, including the right click.

The wall would then push anyone, teammate or enemy in the direciton its moving. If the wall pins an enemy against another wall or object it does damage. However, the wall doesn’t stun and people can move, maybe at a slow pace, but they can move and get away from it.

Keep throwing your hissy fit if you want. characters that are that effective against tanks in a solo tank environment should stay niche forever

I think the devs didn’t fully think through the effects of the dps passive on tanks. Imo it was fine at 20% but they should have placed it on cooldown after applied to tanks. Tanks in general have a lot of issues but this would have really helped them.

And why do we have a solo tank environment in the first place?

Oh yeah, hitscans and flankers.

This mess supersedes the DPS passive.

I would like to try out faster icicle speed and windup shot, with a slightly smaller bullet.

Mei’s walls should not be a death sentence for whoever gets caught.

Sure, let’s make the tank experience even more miserable

The wall is the only good part of her kit, she needs help elsewhere.

She needs a damage increase on her primary. Mei didn’t even crack top 500 last season, she’s the worst hero in the game.
