The ship you’re looking at, looks mighty similar to the stealth-planes of the 21st century
And the sword represents justice.
The combination of Stealth Plane and sword show that blackwatch is able to Carry/Deliver Justice, without anyone knowing it exists.
That is, until the fiasco at Rialto.

I’d like to think Reaper design it himself, and shows his edginess by making the logo based on a cattle skull (or an owl like his mask now) and make it futuristic-looking.
And is it really a sword? i always see it as a dagger… cuz, y’know, “cloak and dagger”. Since they’re black ops doing covert ops and stuff.
Open to interpretation.

Looks like the same skull that is depicted around Reaper a lot. I guess the sword represents justice? They carry justice through the shadows delivering death.

Blackwatch is the dark side of Overwatch, so it has the original logo’s shape turned upside-down with a plane flying over it. The sword represents the members inside acting as justice, while the combined shapes symbolize a mask with eyes “watching” you (vigilante justice).
The logo also has more detail to show it’s more advanced design and the colors and design symbolize its covert nature. There are other small nuggets in the design, such as the fact that the plane’s tip goes outside the black circle, which indicates that Blackwatch goes where Overwatch cannot while the black circle around the plane represents how they operate in the dark. You could also say the white top bar represents the light that they come from (Overwatch) plunging into a bloodier (red) world.
Of course, this is just my interpretation as an artist. Speaking truthfully, logo artists tend to just try different things that look cool until they hit a good design and then stick with that. It might not even have been half as elaborate as I turned it out to be.
It either looks like a space shuttle, or a stylised Reapers mask.

You can definitely see the similarities. I think it’s symbolic.
It also looks like the Overwatch logo flipped upside down.
I think it is not a sword but a dagger, standing for cloak and dagger operations.
