I do hope that they can improve the report system without resorting to magic. Seems a bit dramatic given the only way is up.

Pretty sure you can turn the profanity filter back on and live your life just fine.

Is it the same players? There’s no way the report system is gonna catch first time offenders.

That said I haven’t seen it in literal years, whereas in other games I see it twice a week at least.

I’m not naive. I realise that this is “normal” amongst gamers. But it’s obviously not acceptable in real life. I’m not asking for an ignore function, I’m asking if Blizzard is okay with this being the norm and if they have plans to do something about it.

What we’ve been doing since the beginning of online gaming. For some reason newer people to multiplayer games and born after 1992 think this is new to them and they need a special wand to rid people.

Hit mute and move on. Just like we did in Quake, TFC, Halo, etc.

I play almost every day a minimum of two hours on US servers, I honestly can’t even recall it ever being typed in chat - but on voice its not used as an insult, its kids trying to imitate the silliness of rappers and so forth.

I do not associate with snickers haha.

The whole n word thing is just stupid. Most people who uses it arent even racist. I hope the view on it changes one day.

Yesterday a 2 stack was calling our dps useless, telling them to uninstall etc. I explained that they were the problem (the rein kept charging in like a headless chicken and the other guy swapped heroes every time he died). 1 of them tell me to kill myself and shout abuse for rest of game (whilst id muted my mic) lol. People on this game are among the most toxic u will ever come across. It sucks that it goes unpunished considering toxicty online can really affect certain people with mental helath issues etc. but best to just report and mute them.

I used to see that word being used quite often up to about a year ago. Now I haven’t seen it in months. Make sure you report when you see it.

yeah i report it every-time someone says it and man it’s almost every time i play which is less now but still.
