The mercy skin which looks so awesome, I saw 0 of it so far.
Since OW “2” launch I have seen 4 people with shop skins. Maybe in Asia we don’t like to buy cosmetics, IDK, but I almost never see shop skins in my games. Cuz apparently nobody wants to pay $26 for a scammy recolor.
And I remember when I was playing Original Overwatch (I just refuse to call 1 and 2, please don’t judge me),there were almost no people with default skins. Now all my matches it’s either default skin, or BP skins. This means the old playerbase just quit the game, nobody is left.
We are not playing blizzard games anymore, guys. It’s just a logo. We are playing activison games who wants all their games to make as much money as candy crush.
Yeah, it’s honestly the same for me. I don’t know if it’s because I’m mainly playing competitive and everyone’s just on alt accounts, but I’ve probably only seen maybe a dozen players who were wearing shop skins so far, and I’ve been playing since the launch of Overwatch 2.
Yeah like everyone is either on free skins, or default skins. Maybe they are all smurfing, idk, but with the recent news, and 12 minutes Q times, I think it’s really a dead game now. Sadly.
The price is one thing, but frankly skins in Overwatch are mediocre in general. I feel like in HotS, which was “just a side project” artists put their heart into their creations way more and skins are way more attractive there. In Ovewatch there may be a few that are somewhat attractive, but to be honest I wouldn’t use most of them even if given for free.
I have it, but there is criteria for me getting skin do i play that character enough, and the other do i like that aesthetic, I mostly play support cause i feel i can maximize everyone’s potential doing it, so supports i like playing i might get the skins and the other is sexy female hero skins… Like i think the LW skin in shop is cool looking, but i am not gonna spend 20-40 dollars on some dude skin of a hero i prolly will never play maybe if it was 5 dollars i might get it, but it is to much as it is to spend outside my niche criteria.
I think it’s mainly the casual playerbase that’s buying the skins then because, I swear, I never seem to have any players in my lobby wearing shop skins. I don’t even see people using the Battle Pass skins; it’s always just OW1 skins.
I dont think that I have EVER not seen at least ONE with either a BP or a shop skin of the week since the start of S5. People are mad that OW2 comes to steam (lol) and pretending the game is dead (lool) and now they try to convice themselfs that blizz is not making money with OW2?
Do people have nothing better to do? There are so many good games out there! You dont even need to play OW to not waste your time.
