I Report Multiple Players Every Game

It’s gotten to that point. But does it help? Does it make a difference? No.

Every game I’m in has 1 or more high SR “Smurfs”. Nearly every game I play in Bronze is totally 1 sided. Whichever team has the better “Smurf” wins.

Even if you hard counter the character he/she is playing… you get wrecked over and over.

You can’t avoid as opponent… you can avoid as teammate… but that just puts them on the other team.

Yes, I only play a game or 2 against them… and then they are out of my SR… unless they start throwing… and I end up in games with them again.

As soon as they are out of my SR for good… a new guy shows up.

One game I get 3 kills and die 30 times… the next game I get 30 kills and die 3 times. I am getting carried… or getting stomped. Isn’t the purpose of the SR system to get rid of things like this?

You’re probably the reason why Sym mains get suspended even when they flex.

I don’t report people for playing off meta characters. A 2-2-2 team comp is great… 3 DPS is OK… If we have 4 DPS… I’m reporting all 4… If you are set on playing DPS… and won’t switch, play quick play or use the new Team Comp Group “Thing”… not sure what it’s called. Group up with tank mains and healer mains… so you can play DPS.

But… My original post was about guys who team up with 1 or 2 friends and throw all placement games and then throw several more games to get below 500 SR or so.

So, if you throw 20-30 games in a row… Don’t you think those people should get banned?

You can have multiple accounts… but if your first account is 3500 SR… and the second is 500 SR… cheating/throwing was involved… And you deserve a ban.

You need to be stopped. Stop doing what you are doing. You’re doing it wrong.

Yea you just admitted to spamming false reports…

Wouldn’t be so sure about that, refusing to switch no matter what is gameplay sabotage at its finest.

Not if they are trying, sure its a bad team comp, but according to blizz that is not repotable. And in this case, he reports the first 2 people to pick dps? What. This is along the same lines of reporting people if they are not having a great game.

If someone is playing outside their SR range… That’s both Gameplay Sabotage, and Cheating… both are options when reporting. When people stop doing it… I’ll stop reporting them. They ruin the game for everyone trying to play fair.

As long as they are not throwing in your games, its neither. If they are carrying that is not reportable. Not saying people smurfing in bronze is a good thing, just cant be reported when they are actually trying to win games. They are not sabotaging your team to lose, and they are not actually cheating.

You can still see that player’s name so that white box is kinda useless. Just saying in case you want to hide it properly.

Then read it again and put it into this topic’s context.

I think you can report people who throw in your matches but not people who just play dps. I wouldn’t report a smurf unless they were throwing in the same game I was in.

On the topic of reporting, is reporting leavers allowed?

You are using the report system improperly, can we report you for that?

Blizzard overwatch Twitter accounts have said multiple times not to report leavers.

Ok, I don’t use twitter so I didn’t know. Thanks.
(I haven’t reported leavers because I was unsure)

smurf never stated as something rulebreaking from blizzard, so your reports are false at this point

I agree with this

but…

This is a di*k move. If you’re so uptight about team comps then maybe YOU should use the looking for group thing. (Are you just mad because they instalock DPS and you wanted to play DPS?)

TBH i hope you cop a ban for falsely reporting so many people.

It probably doesn’t help FOR YOU. Because you report too much they filter it out.

Quality, not quantity.

Also, there are much fewer smurfs than you suspect. If someone is just playing well it doesn’t mean they’re suddenly a smurf. Even so, smurfing is not against the rules. It’s bad manners, sure, but not illegal.

Same goes for reporting people for not switching or not picking heroes you want. It’s bad and unhelpful, sure, but not against the rules.

So if you report people for these things all the time, you’re just flagged as someone whose reports they can not trust, so they no longer count.
