Is it my mouse? My mousepad? (or lack thereof) Maybe my sensitivity?
He was the first DPS i played when i first got the game way back in Season 1, absolutely loved him but could not hit my shots for sh-t. A while back i got him the Sherlock skin because it looks cool as hell and i love the books, really felt like something special and a damn nice representation of the character.
Even now, almost 150 hours later, why am i so bad at him. Not hilariously bad but it’s the feeling i could be doing more.
Any tips?

150 hours in Overwatch, or 150 hours on Cassidy? Because if it is the latter…
If it is the former, my advice is to just keep playing him to get used to his brand of hitscan. It took me quite awhile to get good at aiming with him and it came at the cost of my Ashe and Widow. And nowadays I cannot aim on him anymore because I spent more time with Widow. There is a weird adjustment period when transitioning to a different hitscan.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I like his 6 shooter but, you’ll definitely feel a miss with that smaller ammo capacity.
Only thing I can say (if you haven’t) is to use the VAXTA code to warm up or practice shots. Also, Cass isn’t really regarded as great this season. Imo, Ashe offers a similar feeling but better over all.

I was never a flick shooter until Illari came out and I wanted to get good with her. Honestly, the shooting range is an awesome tool to learn flick shots. Start simple with no moving targets and try to flick shot. If you’re off, adjust the sensitivity to where you naturally hit the target. After that practice a bunch and eventually go for moving targets and further distance. Last, move while you shoot. You shouldn’t be standing still in game, so you’ll need to practice that.
It may sound like a lot, but I think it took me literally a few hours of practice. I usually hit about 55% of my shots in game, btw.

I am nowhere near old enough to have 150 just on one hero hahahs. 150 hours total (with a few being just the menus and cheking out the heroes)

As a widow main, I’m the same way. I have the muscle memory for widow flicks with the 38 zoom sensitivity, but it doesn’t translate over to the un-scoped peacemaker.

Oi thanks. I find Ashe very appealing, specially her primary being a dang lever action rifle, ticking the box for yee haw but idk, she feels less powerful. I do know that the to get the most out of her kit is to mainly use the sights but my monkey brain does not have the patience for it.
And yeah, you ought to be quite good to be able to get profit on Cass rn, but alas, gameplay is king in my book

Menu time doesn’t count. Nor queue time, or even the in game set up time before spawn doors open. Only time that is counted is during the game where you can be out of spawn.

huh i remember recording my 1st casa game where i actually kind of did something.
go to practice range and setup the bots at close range, start with sens at 9 and get good with getting headshots with that, bring it down to 4 and get good with that, bring it to 5.5 and get good with that.
now determine which side of 5.5 sens feels better for you and slowly adjust the sens as you feel your getting closer to what feels best.
usually in real games this needs to be adjusted down as real people move slower, i’ve done this with multiple hitscan to find my preferred sens.

Ya 150 is nothing their’s so much you still have to learn so just take your time a keep practicing the heros you like.
I do recommend aim labs tho, try it for 10 or 20 minutes a day and it will help your aim alot its how i got better at bap

Just play Ashe. The only thing Cree has going for him that she doesn’t is being sizzling hot

Try to find out when you feel uncomfortable while aiming, then try things (arm, wrist, palm, finger, sitting height etc.) until you aim badly but always comfortable no matter where you aim. Then practice 10 000 hours.

Then i have HOURS walking from spawn to where the fight is
lower your sensitivity. You shouldn’t play Cassidy on a higher sensitivity than 800 and 4.5 when tracking Pharah’s in the sky.
Get a bigger mousepad for sure

So you’re saying the white-short haired, mean (but in an extremely attractive way) lady with an exquisite and addictive southern-american accent with a lever action rifle. Is not sizzling hot?
She is sizzling hot if she accidentally detonates the dynamite on herself.
She’s a woman, that’s just how it is. Ashe is pretty. Cree is “bend me over whenever you want”.
Big mousepad, low sens with big arm movements. Support your elbow if possible, an L-shaped desk is great.
Duel good players. You can drill bronze-platinum players pretty consistently because they usually don’t face lethally accurate opponents and won’t move erratically or stay near cover. (See example).
So don’t get amped about pulling crazy accuracy stats against some gold players. High-plat/Diamond is usually when players start to figure out that they need to pull their socks up sometimes.
Deatmatch lobbies are usually good places to find better players warming up. Good luck!
That’s all of the latest I’ve got for Cass. Ashe is a much stronger hero at the moment outside of very niche situations and I’ve primarily been playing her.
