I really appreciate the dev blogs and communication

While I’ve always loved the people who create this game, I have to say, I don’t think the OW1 team would’ve told us things like “we hear players want 6v6, and while we have reasons for 5v5, we’re willing to go back and experiment, even if losing out on years of work and risking bad queue times scares us”

Like idk, that sort of honesty about the situation is why I respect Aaron as a leader. He’s had to give us some awful news, most of which wasn’t anything he’d have chosen to do if the team wasn’t forced, and yet he’s always speaking optimistically for the game’s future like Jeff did. And at least for me, when he and the team are excited about something new, it’s something I find exciting too. While not every choice in the game is for the consumer’s benefit, I appreciate how much team 4 tries to do for the player’s benefit. It would have been so easy to give the data that they did and say “and this is why 6v6 is off the table.” That’s legitimately what I expected, and instead they validated the community’s voice, they admitted some of their own team preferred 6v6, and they’re investing time into trying for the Overwatch dream

Props to Aaron Keller and team 4. I may not always agree with them or think they get stuff right, but damn do they try and care about the game
