I give up trying to solo climb ranked in this game. At this point it feels impossible to get anywhere solo in this game and i hate it as a die-hard solo gamer. It also doesnt help that certain characters are broken to the point where they make me wanna break my controller. (LOOKING AT YOU SOJOURN!!!) and its even worse that i only have a Nintendo Switch which doesnt play overwatch as well as an xbox or ps5, which makes climbing ranked 10× harder. I hate this so much, there’s literally ZERO respect for those who are trying to solo climb this game, and even more so on the worst console possible.

I would love to quit with their terrible MM but sadly i still play the game for few hrs and then leave. This game is not worth playing for long hrs especially solo.

Get good and learn to aim, then sojourn wont be a problem.

There is a new game mode next season that seems to be more solo-friendly, which is Stadium.
how is the mode more solo friendly, can you explain?

It will be about customizing and upgrading your prefered hero.
There will be no hero switching during the match. And every hero can be adjusted to cater to your prefered play style.
So, I guess no more “hero X is broken” and “hero Y counters me”, at least on paper.
The ability to create your own creature makes the mode more solo-friendly imo.
It’s still a 5v5 game, but that’s also the case for most other multiplayer shooters, including the likes of CS.

Overwatch has never been solo-player friendly; if you want to rank up, you need a group of friends. Only after reaching a certain rank can you start moving alone, just like everyone else. But in the beginning, climbing as a solo player is nearly impossible. You’d have to be über super mega ultra lucky to get matched with good players in random teams. And since it’s all based on luck, it’s not sustainable in the long run.
For some reason, the game doesn’t care about your individual performance in that class or whether you fulfill your role’s requirements — it only looks at whether you win or lose. Even if you perform like a Top 500 player, losing a match means you rank down, and unfortunately, individual performance evaluation doesn’t exist.
Unless a ranking system based on individual performance is introduced, these kinds of justified complaints will never end.
There is an unwritten, unchanging rule in every team game: You are only as strong as the weakest link in your team. So, if your team is terrible, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a noob or a pro — it makes no difference at all.

Well… overwatch ranked is based on performance. It’s always been like that. I solo q and can get easily to diamond.

It does. I’m 100% sure. My placement prediction even increased after a loss. It was predicting Plat 1 after a loss it became Diamond 5 . Finished my support placement Diamond 4.
Comp. is not enjoyable. Stomp or being stomped. Comp. diffs, OTPs, players don’t flex…

I love all of the “I’m quiting this game maaaaah!” posts people are making lmao you quit the game but can’t quit complaining about it. If you aren’t playing anymore then why do you care
Because overwatch is flawed in many ways and if one voices their concerns enough, the devs will probably notice and fix it.
